I'm just curious if anyone ever made a map of the dungeons or if one existed so that the backstage crew etc knew which room to set up next and all that stuff?
I'm very interested to know about all the backstage stuff that went on with knightmare and how many rooms a team would film in a day. the stuff on the site sent in from team 5 champions was a great read, especially as I'd only just seen them winning on challenge a couple of days before!
if anyone could give me more details about the back stage side of things that would be awesome.
I also wondered about the team who died trying to jump getting to Merlin as they didnt have the first square. What would the dungeoneer have seen when he looked downwards? did they put black carpet or something on the floor to represent a chasm?
Its great getting back into Knightmare after so long and obviously I'm brimming over with questions. And if anyone knows where I can find the clips from the site from series 3-8 that would also help!
sorry if this post is a bit disjointed! lots of questions!
regards
Jon

Re:map of the dungeon
Their was never really a set map of the old room-to-room dugeon as for each quest a door could lead to any different room from level (that is what made things exciting!)
When you get onto Series 4, their was a more set sequence of rooms or at least places which were followed and this carried on roughly for the rest of the run.
For the likes the Sewers of Goth in Series 7 and 8, their were a number of rooms which could be used in no particular order.

Good night out there; whatever you are!

In many ways Goth, to me was slightly ordered. If you think about it, sometimes after a clue-room is the Play Your Cards Right Puzzle after that is usually the blue/gold stone crypt... Thats my theory...

If the only way is onward how would you get home for tea??

Hi Jon,
Have you had a look at the "Behind the Scenes" section of the website? http://www.knightmare.com/behind/. It will probably answer a lot of your questions.
The Series 3-8 clips are indeed currently offline. Keep an eye on the front page of the website as I will put a notice there when the clips (or part of) are restored.

The team you mention was that of dungeoneer Scott from Series 3. Scott started a thread about his experiences in August 2003:
