Knightmare clips on CITV's YouTube channel
"The official YouTube channel for CITV Old Skool" has uploaded loads of Knightmare clips, which I assume they've had permission for:
http://www.youtube.com/user/citvoldskool/videos
There are three blocks of them, in amongst Super Gran and Stingray clips. (Was Stingray once on CITV?? I only remember it on BBC2.)

I recall that Stingray was shown on ITV in the mornings during the summer holidays in 1989.

Re: Knightmare clips on CITV's YouTube channel
Thank you for this news, Annie. I'm excited to see where CITV are going with this. My optimism is cautious though: it seems that the classic CITV episode uploads on ITV Player, which included most of Knightmare Series 3, have now been withdrawn.

Re: Knightmare clips on CITV's YouTube channel
I understand there was a minor legal dispute and CITV reacted by withdrawing the episodes.
I am hoping that they will be restored soon since it should be easily fixable.

I see they are still uploading new clips, some more were added just last week.

I find two things fascinating:
1) The corridor of blades being referred to as "The Sawblade Corridor"
2) That CITV consider it worthwhile posting these clips online, yet apparently have no interest in selling the episodes.
Surely the point of posting clips is to encourage people to buy the episodes. As it stands, CITV are just dangling something without actually providing the mechanism for anyone to do anything except say "yeah, awesome show".

1) Why didn't they just call it the CoB (Controversy of Boyd)?Alan wrote:I find two things fascinating:

2) It is still unclear what CITV are trying to achieve by uploading so many individual scenes (and not just from Knightmare) with no contestant names, episode titles, episode numbers or series numbers. While I don't want to seem ungrateful, the fact that at least one clip is titled 'Knighmare' suggests that the uploaders aren't taking as much care and interest as they could be.
If we assume that these Old Skool channel clips are 'legal', does that mean we can post links to them here, or do the usual copyright issues still apply?

If the clips are legal, then there's no issue with reposting the links in the forum.Drassil wrote: If we assume that these Old Skool channel clips are 'legal', does that mean we can post links to them here, or do the usual copyright issues still apply?

LOL, I just saw one of their video descriptions "The dungeoneer meets Grimaldine and Hordriss having hot fun together"!

I wonder why they don't seem to have uploaded any clips at all from Series 2? It's the only one that isn't represented.

Re: Knightmare clips on CITV's YouTube channel
To make the most of this authorised yet uncatalogued heap, someone would have to get them all into chronological order and then perhaps into series-by-series playlists.I wrote:So many individual scenes ... with no contestant names, episode titles, episode numbers or series numbers.
So I have.
I'm fairly certain I've got all of the clips to date, and that the scene/quest/series gaps are ITV's rather than mine. For completeness, I've included ITV's duplicate uploads, which presumably were accidental.
Thank you to Jake and tom41, whose episode summaries (along with Knightmare.com's) helped with the ordering.

Great work, David! I tried to make a chronological list recently too, though it was hard to tell if I found them all (and I obviously didn't, as your playlists contain nearly 40 clips I hadn't come across). I think you are currently missing these few:Drassil wrote:To make the most of this authorised yet uncatalogued heap, someone would have to get them all into chronological order and then perhaps into series-by-series playlists.I wrote:So many individual scenes ... with no contestant names, episode titles, episode numbers or series numbers.

Re: Knightmare clips on CITV's YouTube channel
Thank you, Annie. Some of those I had overlooked when working through my list; some I had missed on YouTube. I hope that between us we've got all of them so far - and that ITV won't take them down, especially since some are now linked to from the Lexicon and some of my Knightmare.com articles.
