Re: ABUK DVD
[quote] Anglia apparently weren't helpful, quote]
I think we should e-mail Anglia requesting that they give the rights to ABUK. Unless anyone can think of a reason why not too?
BTW the two e-mail address I found are
angliawebteam@angliatv.com (Don'r know how much help they will be)
pr@angliatv.co.uk (head office)

Re: ABUK DVD
There's no way they'll simply hand the rights over. They've recently made money out of it from Challenge. Why should they give away something that's making them money, and might make them money in the future? :(

Re: ABUK DVD
Obviously Angila will sell it to ABUK, What is the likely hood of Knightmare being shown again? Anytime soon It took a while for it to come back to our screens, from Sci-fi too Challenge (I kno people might not have one or the other or both but..you know what i mean)
It is too expensive for tv stations to show Knightmare, so won't it be better for angila to sell the rights for all 8 serises?

Re: ABUK DVD
It's not too expensive - Challenge have acquired series 3. As I said before, Anglia will never sell the rights because they're a money-spinner. All they'll ever do is licence the series.

It was a nice thought, though, for what it's worth. It's just normal business policy these days not to do anything nice for anyone. :(

Re: ABUK DVD
All I know is that in a few months time, ABUK will be holding a review where they will discuss new releases. It is likely, then, that we will find out if they want to release Km by the summer. If they decide not to release all the series, they could release just a highlights DVD (which I'm not really in favour of personally). In any case, I hope they put loads of extras on. There's an awful lot of stuff that the public have never seen before.

Re: ABUK DVD
Actually, we now have it on VERY good authority that Granada Media are very interested in doing a DVD release. It's in the thread called "Tape Piracy" in the general discussion section and sounds quite promising. :)

Re: ABUK DVD
I've said it before but one extra I perversely want to see are the foreign Knightmare formats - I don't know why, I just think it would be very interesting to see how other people adapted Knightmare.
Oh look there's J.G. Ballard in a burnt-out fridge with a spitfire pilot.

Re: ABUK DVD
A Knightmare DVD release would be fantastic. They should make all 8 series. Anglia should sell them the 8 series of Knightmare for a DVD. I would buy one without a doubt.

Re: ABUK DVD
Even if they just sold them as a box-set - all 8 series together, I'm sure they'd still sell well.

Re: ABUK DVD
You're right on that point. I'd pay £200 for the set if or when it comes out. I don't understand why they haven't considered a DVD release of Knightmare before because the show has quite a lot of fans and would buy the DVD's no problem.
