is all well and good guys, but have a look at the one here http://www.wapscallionreunited.cjb.net
its a lot more fun to configure (and can be better personalised) and runs a little faster....just a thought
drop me a message on it if ya fancy seeing what it can do for you!

Re: this forum
I like this forum and think that it is good also. I like the layout and it's much better than most of the forums I have seen. I don't like the fact that it's slow and sometimes don't work, but at least it's nicer than most. I prefer dark colours as lighter colours tend to hurt my eyes! Also this one is much better moderated than others, such as the Challenge? one where you do get so much immature behaviour. This one also show the posts straight away without a delay where some others there's a delay of sometimes 24 hours before a post appears, from when it's sent. Those are some of the reasons, as I could think of many more reasons but I could be here all night and it would probably bore everyone!

Never seems to work for me.

Re: this forum
hmmm, i like this forum just fine...one suggestion however.
if its possible could the posts alternate background colour. not majorly, just black, then charcoal gray and back to black again or somthing. In another forum i go to it helps distinguish between posts really well (they use to shades of blue)
just a thought, and not even one im too fussed about

Re: this forum
I'm sure there are better forums out there, but not all will work on the server we're using. But I think it works okay so we will only consider changing forum software again if we're kicked out of this one
It is a bit slow yes but I think that's down to the server more than the software in this case.
Regarding the colour suggestion - will look into this when I've got some time.

Other than its speed, there's nothing wrong with this forum at all.

Re: this forum
As I've said before I like the colours and layout of this forum exactly the way they are, because lighter colours tent to hurt my eyes as they are sometimes too bright and give a slight glare.

Yeah Ilike this forum the way it is
I'd probably be pretty upset if it was changed!

Re: this forum
it would only be an experiment
besides ppl get set in their ways if no upheavel is brought
My old forum was basicly black as well and then they had a HUGE change and made it white (:o) with bluey posts. at first there were the whole "Ow my eyes complaints" but its turned out fine. i just thought that black and then a lighter shade for every other posts would break up the monotoney (god i need spelling lessons) of black

Re: this forum
erm....*goes to find dictionary*
i couldn't find a dictionary but i found a thesaurus (yes i looked on the front cover for the spelling of that) and here is the word i meant plus it's entry just to prove how fitting the word was..
Monotony
boredom, colourlessness, dullness, flatness, humdrumness, monotonousness, prosaicness, repetitiousness, repetitiveness, routine, routineness, sameness, tediousness, tedium, tiresomeness, uneventfulness, uniformity, wearisomeness.

Re: this forum
I think perhaps that's what I should've done to start with, but anyway I've just grabbed one of mine. It just says:erm....*goes to find dictionary*
i couldn't find a dictionary but i found a thesaurus
"Monotony n 1 The state of being monotonous 2 Dull or tedious routine."
Now I do understand that dictionary better than your theasaurus
