The homesick quest
Hi guys. does any1 remember bva's e-mail about the quest which was cut short due to a dungeoneer feeling homesick?
I really think that this was team 7 of series 4, jeremy's team. they were quite young and when i watched it on challenge i didnt see any forewarning of failure before they fell off in the block and tackle(although this has killed off teams for bad manouvering be4 simon )

Re: The homesick quest
They were a very young team, and I do recall such a happening. I think they were all looking a bit nervous, although they WERE getting into it at the time, if you notice Pickle is sitting with them throughout the entire quest, to make them feel better perhaps?

They were really young, weren't they? Pickle even said so at the beginning of their second episode.

Re: The homesick quest
I would think if they had a quest that was stopped due to a team feeling homesick they would just go home and the quest wouldn't get shown on TV. Don't forget the series was filmed in August (during the summer hoildays) and not shown on TV until between September-December since this quest was near the end of the series it wouldn't have made it onto the TV until December.
Team 7 of Series 4 all looked nervous right from the first room of the place of choice. Jermey the dungoneer in the place of choice was guided to the shield but only just and throughout that first room two of the dungoneers you can hear them laughing nervously. Amanda and Antony were the ones who were the most nervous, but they did quite well at the first door room, but then died at the block and tackle room, the quest guide says they made it into level 3, but I am sure that when Simons "side step to the left" team, ;D
died on the block and tackle died in the block and tackle that was in level 2, but in Giles quest it was in level 3.
Whatever though it wasn't a bad effort from the team considering how nervous they were at the start, and that they looked to be only 11 or 12 (most of the rest of the teams were 14.)

Re: The homesick quest
Well, one team that was actually on the show was definately sent home cos of homesickness, and it was definately shown as BVA said that if you watched the series you wouldn't be able to tell.

Re: The homesick quest
I think it's series 1 team 4 - they were doing extremely well and for no real reason took the wrong door and got blown up. All the cast were being extremely kind to the dungeoneer and he seemed quite shy.
Thinking about it, though, perhaps it's best we don't know which team it is (it's probably the last one we're expecting, anyway). Those involved might not want us to know.
