Hmmmm...interactive?
Now that we have a new wave of members, does anyone want to try another Interactive Story? I know the 2nd one didn't work out too well, but I think I maybe started it up a little too soon after the last one. With the rush of the completion of the RPG filming, people may be in the mood for some fun and games and imagination, with a little bit of chainmail on the side.
What do you think?

Re:Hmmmm...interactive?
I think the last one died because I contributed entries to it that made it far too complicated.

Re:Hmmmm...interactive?
Shall we stick to a limit of 100 words each post this time? That may help - not enough space to get too complicated but enough to twist things and change direction

I'm up for it.

I was a bit green when the last one started so my contributions were not brilliant. But I think I've improved and matured in The Role Play/Story telling department.

I'd set a less stringent word limit than that if I were you, Emii. Word limits end up becoming more important than the content when you're battling like crazy to keep an entry inside the restrictions. I recommend you make the limit around 150-175.

100 words was off the top of my head. Has anyone got any objections to 100 words, give or take a few? We won't be counting but as a basis...

Re:Hmmmm...interactive?
I think a higher maximum would be a little better - 100 words get used up very quickly, particularly if one is struck by inspiration.

Yeah, like I say, 150 should be about right. And it's not like people are going to use the full limit every time.

150 then. Try not to go over. Any other suggestions, such as no complicated names for magical items or explanations behind them? lol!

Re:Hmmmm...interactive?
Should there be a limit on how frequently each person can post e.g. no more than once every four entries or something?

Re:Hmmmm...interactive?
How about just having a rule that you can't reply to yourself?
(If, though, the contributions dry up there may be no alternative. I noticed during the last story that as it got longer and longer, the number of contributions lessened - I would attribute this to the fact that the amount of text that needed to be read before posting was increasing!)

Re:Hmmmm...interactive?
The worry with the rule only stopping you from making consecutive posts is that it still leaves room for the story to be dominated by two or three people.

Re:Hmmmm...interactive?
True. A frequency limit might be called for, then.
I don't think we should impose too many rules, though, on something that is just a bit of fun.
