Because they were told to. It was in the Dungeon Code.

And in Latin, left is "Sinister".
"Gentlemen! Please! You can fight like itsy bitsy babies later. Right now we have adult name-calling and mud-slinging to attend to."

Yes, as those of us who happen to be left-handed are constantly reminded by smart alecky-types.

I think 100% of teams would take "the right door or otherwise"... <¦-)

Heh...
Makes you wonder if they had a contingency series of events should a dungeoneer 'go' through the wrong door.
OR, maybe the next room would be a sudden-death situation:
EG - No doors, four or five skulls/swords/anvils, and increased life-force speed.

It still waits.

Re: right Vs left
pros be the same room behind the right door/left and in front, unless u get in a situation were a quest item hangs above one then u'll get two different rooms even if there 4 doors

Re: right Vs left
u doubt it,
whatever is behind door right, is behind left.. unless your told overwise (skull about the door, or told NOT to take a lift turn) its like the rooms with 4doors their probs all have the same room behind them i doubt their going to get more than 2 rooms ready

One exception of this is when Series 3 Team 4 are told to take the left door:
"When faced with death you must go left"

Re: right Vs left
Well, not team 1: the symbol by the door matched the talisman.
I wonder why team 5 took the left-hand door? They were doing so well and all of a sudden messed it up, after getting a pretty big clue! In any case, clue or not, they should have known to take the right-hand door.

What if there are four doors?
Were there ever four doors? I guess you'd pick the one furthest to the right, huh?
