A problem that I had was logging in, and every time I refreshed/changed page, I went back to being a Guest. This was because my computer wasn't resending the required information.

What was causing this was my security settings on my internet explorer being too high; Medium instead of Low. Medium only resends information with your express consent - and it doesn't bother asking for it, so you're stuck!

To change this, go to Tools==>Internet Options==>Privacy and change the setting to Low. This will fix the problem.
