Explain this to me?
Okay I know what a normal topic, hot topic and very hot topic is. I think I know what a sticky topic is but I am not sure though. What is a locked topic and a sticky locked topic?

Re: Explain this to me?
When topics are locked new replies cannot be added to them (unless they're unlocked again).Okay I know what a normal topic, hot topic and very hot topic is. I think I know what a sticky topic is but I am not sure though. What is a locked topic and a sticky locked topic?
Sticky topics are those pinned to the top of a board, so that even if another topic gets a newer reply, the sticky topic still remains at the top of the list. The video piracy topic on the General board was until recently designated a sticky topic.
Combine the two things and you have a sticky locked topic.

Re: Explain this to me?
I have noticed that the ropics that are moved become locked, but why are some topics that are not moved locked, e.g. one of the topics that I started?

Re: Explain this to me?
Another very good point! Moved topics are automatically locked to ensure that people post where the topic has actually been moved instead, but I had no idea that some normal topics were becoming locked. I certainly didn't lock them myself so something v.strange is going on
I'll unlock them now anyway.

I'll unlock them now anyway.

Is jam a sticky topic?
Oh look there's J.G. Ballard in a burnt-out fridge with a spitfire pilot.

Re: Explain this to me?
You're both wrong - squashed flies are a sticky topic!

Re: Explain this to me?
You could use jam to attract flies before squashing them. Sounds almost like a Knightmare process. Spellcasting J-A-M. Very Chris Morris.

Is fly paper a sticky topic? as an addition to jam. I guess you could put jam on fly paper!

Well, fly paper contains arsenic, so I wouldn't put jam on it, you'd probably end up eating it and poisoning yourself...

My uncle once got flypaper stuck to his head and he had to have a very emergency haircut.
