Howdy
hey Y'all. I'm new, ya know?
My memoeries of Knightmare:
Being born in 1988, I only really have memory of series 7 and 8, when I was about six or whatever. I remember the corridor of blades best. Also the dwarf tunnels and whenever they found the spy-glass. man, that original life force is scary, ya? Glad I never saw it when I was young.

Re: Howdy
Hello there!
I also like the Corridor Of Blades. It has the distinction of being the longest-running room ever - featuring in series 4-8. Plus, it's gory. ;D
Ah, the Life Force Clock! 'Nuff said! :)
Welcome!

Re: Howdy
Hey up. Great that you've joined us.
Good to see that KM really stetches with its fans from the mid-70s right up to the late eighties (in terms of year born and how old one was during KM transmission).
Yeh, Knightmare really underwent its changes over the years. The Corridor of Blades was always a fantastic addition, because no matter how advanced the technology and backdrops got, the simple idea of just having a lethal puzzle/trap to get through was cutting edge at every stage of KM's progression. Apart from that, it was not age/logic discriminative - just needed some sharp and decisive guiding, and sharp, decisive dungeoneer movements. The use of this for 'short-cuts' was somewhat aggrieved - but that's for a different topic!
The original life force clock was always wicked! I also loved the armoured skeleton walking, especially the atmospheric heart-beat, 'ba-dum', when food was about - but none of the others showed any kind of level or 'gradient' that the original clock did, with its green-amber-red system, and the wonderful peeling skull. There was less urgency, and no real destinction whether life force was almost full, half full, almost empty (apart from Ben's Level 6 win and Barry's L3 clue room scrape). Losing the original l-f clock, I think, lost the whole emphasis on life force that 1-4 held.
Just my opinions, anyway. I have too many. Keep posting!

{Floats in, in front of Simon.}
Y'ello - I be the floating Skull, a resident of these 'ere forums. Now, I do THIS!!!
Reduces smokingfrog's life-force to Critical red
MUHAHAHA...{Nods in the direction of the nearest table} You have about 12 seconds to grab that pork pie before ya keel over. Go to it...
Serious moment.
As for my own personal memory of knightmare - I remember making DAMNED sure that 4:35 PM, Friday afternoon's was MY TV moment. Any other day or time was killable, but Knightmare-time was ESSENTIAL viewing.
It still ranks as MY number one TV show of all time...PERIOD. ;D
{It even beats the second 'Sonic the Hedgehog' cartoon series for happy memories, LoL.}
