original title sequence ...
Hi,
MY name is Billy Allison, I was part of the animation team that did the original title sequence and while having a garage sort out session, i came across a load of animation drawings from it ... that prompted me to look on for a nice quality clip of it ... a quick google brought me here
Anyone got a good quality copy of the sequence?
I have a couple of the drawings scanned in ... just not uploaded them to my site yet ... anyone want to see 'em just gimme a shout
Cheers
Billy

I can get a good quality version of the title sequence - though it would include the Challenge logo. Presumably you would be interested in the series 1 - 3 version of it. I cannnot upload it until Sunday, as I've currently packed up my computer (I've got a TV Capture card) ready for moving into my university accomodation tomorrow.

Re:original title sequence ...
cheers, that would be great, i don't mind the challenge logo ... you don't need to make it very small either, i have a good connection ... I can wait as long as it takes
I managed to upload the scans i've done of some of the drawings I have :-
(these are keys, i didn't draw these ones, but I did inbetween the scenes)

A knice version of the S3 titles can be found here; http://www.tvwhirl.co.uk/quizshowindex.html and can be opened with Windows Media Player or Real One Player. Though it does have the Challenge! Logo on it. Hope that helps

I was always interested in how cartoons were made, not just in watching them - I watched Rolf's Cartoon Club (and I joined it!) on CITV as regularly as I watched Knightmare.
Thanks so much for sharing those drawings - the opening animation sequence, with the theme music running alongside it, was always a superb way to build up the excitement - the sense that finally, after a week's wait (or less these days if you're lucky enough to have Challenge), Knightmare was here!
In the past on the Forum, people have wondered about the creature that the knight rides past on his way to the castle - whether it's a troll, and what it's doing behind bars. It just goes to show how intriguing we find the original title sequence, two decades on!

Drassil, I notice you have references to superted on your web site, if you look in the folder where the knightmare drawings are, you'' see some scans of some of the superted drawings I have too ... It was the same place that made the knightmare intro, they were called Siriol, unless they changed their name without telling me, it wasn't soreal as it says on the pics pages

Thanks very much indeed for going to so much time and trouble. It's been marvellous for me (and, I'm sure, everyone else here) to get such a fascinating insider's view.
Subject to change.

Very silly question, but which player do I use to view the movies then?

Re:original title sequence ...
Isn't it the same player as what you get with some chart single cd's that include a video of the song?
*Just realised that I cannot use an installer (even if it is the same one) from one of my chart cd's as they all went down my cellar, as I'm trying to clear things from our house*

if they are .mov files, then yes, they might play with that player, I will encode some other versions if people have trouble playing 'em ...
