Series 3 - Episode 16
hiya,
just wanted to say what a great end to a great series. Tregaurds speach was funny, he was kind of half virtual half real
i wonder if that team would have made it all the way to the end?

Re: End of Season
The way his face kept changing colour from Pink to Orange at the end was rather disturbing in a way. Still, I liked the oh-so-1980s colour changing dungeon floors!

Re: End of Season
Treguard : That's an effect called Solarising i believe. It was used primarily in the eyeshield sequences for series 4 and occasionally in series 5.

What ever it was it made my eyes go all funny. And it looked like a 60's psychadelic throwback.

Re: End of Season
The digital compression kinda ruined the colorising effect though. Look at the room where the dungeoneer was when the trumpet appeared. You can see multiple squares of compression all over the image like watching a Realvideo!
Oh, did anyone else notice the sound slowing down in the red corridor before the dungeoneer got into the clue room? Good effect, as if the dungeon is winding down before destroying itself!

Re: End of Season
what made me laugh is that they thought the team had a chance of finishing..lol duh.. they could have had a kinda of endning...one of the reasons why i liked the later seasons, i just feel a little more could have happend... like the team haveing to get back OUT of the dungeon instead of just getting home.. would have been a little different.

Re: End of Season
The trick with the colours is also known as Art Freeze, I think. We had it on our camcorder a few years ago.
I agree about the corridor sound - I love how the sci-fi element of Km is implied rather than stated out loud. It goes right alongside Manifestation and the like. Excellent.

Yeah that sound effect in the corridor was a stroke of genius, I remember it now from the 1st time round and thinking "that doesn't sound right". Intentional or not it was good
Also the ending looks so much better on TV than on my PC

Re: End of Season
American spelling used to annoy me a lot, but since coming down to St Andrews and being surrounded by Americans I've grown used to them.

East coast of Scotland, about 100 miles south of the Aberdeen area where my home is. The University takes a lot of foreign students, but the Americans are the most noticeable.
