The Greenwood

By Keith McDonald

A series of woodland clearings in the fifth series of Knightmare, which were overseen by the Greenwarden.

The Greenwood was a series of forest clearings that could appear on any level of Series 5 (though it was never seen in Level 3).

It was monitored by a new Greenwarden called Gwendoline. She was tasked with keeping the forest clear of vermin.

A clearing in the Greenwood

Despite the Greenwarden's best efforts, the Greenwood could still be a place of danger.

One team discovers Julius Scaramonger dragging a deer in a sack in Level 1. Another team encounters the giant arachnid, Ariadne, in the Level 2 Greenwood.

The fearless knight Sir Hugh de Wittless also makes an appearance here in his mission to rescue those in danger. On one occasion, he walks off with the furious Greenwarden.
