The Dunshelm Players are a drama/storytelling group that formed in 2005 to create audio-based and prose-based media based on Knightmare.
The team worked on a variety of projects over 12 years, including dramas, comedies, and written work. Highlights include:
Famous for Retreating (5-part drama)
Set roughly three years after the TV series, the war between the Powers that Be and the Opposition continues.
Caught between the two forces are the Grey Sisters, now in a new colony of Ambrohame.
The Witch Queen Greystagg sends Heggatty to seek out new sources of witch amber, but Heggatty is attacked by the Opposition.
Treguard and his mortal enemy, Lord Fear, must fight a war of words to decide the fate of the Grey Sisters, with the entire war in the balance.
The Techno-Colour Tales (5-part drama)
A series of audio vignettes set in the aftermath of Famous for Retreating.
With the naive young King Henry III now ruling, Lord Fear sets his sights on dominance of the forest. But there are serious obstacles to overcome.
Treguard faces a revenge-killing for a crime he has no memory of committing. Merlin must discover why the Dungeon Master’s memory has forsaken him.
With Treguard and Majida sidelined, Lord Fear makes a new attempt to forge a pact with Greystagg after finding a common enemy in Maldame.
The Rude Awakening of Lord Fear (comedy, short)
The Rude Awakening of Lord Fear is a monologue response to the 2013 Geek Week episode.
It explores why Lord Fear was completely inert for nearly twenty years while Treguard was out-of-action.
All Washed Up (comedy)
All Washed Up is set in the world of the Geek Week episode. It features characters from the series who were not invited back to feature in the new episode.
Majida, Pickle, Folly and Motley are working in a tavern in Wolfglade. One evening, they are serving two new customers. One revels in the fame of a revived on-screen career. The other is called Daisy.
