Yep there is - i started with the pooka and greystag and overestimated how much i could fit in!!
(have the individual pics saved so might re do it at some point)
I liked the big pooka as a central point also!
I wanted it to be like the simpsons pic where you could really get lost trying to find a charactor, and so decided to put in it must be almost every single character!
Hey guys - been working on some knightmare wallpaper! (i was bored one afternoon!) heres my preliminary work Its not 100% finished and i havent tidied it up yet, but let me know your thoughts

Here is what ive done so far - its 1024x768 and its got all the main charactors (hopefully!) but the dreadnaught which i havent stuck in yet but will do!
Whats wrong with the skarkill bit? You gotta use PUC as a spell (type it in) after talking to the witch (forgotten her name!) and giving her the red stone. Then pick up the key, and the next room is the blades

Rite, to get to Elita, in the floating skull glade with the table, there's an invisible division which decides which side of the room leads to where- one leads to the tavern, one leads to Elita- there's not much difference in the outcome, but it adds variety!

Yeah it was excellent! Id died about 6 or 7 times trying to get past the troll, purley because i thought i was at the edge of the swinging club, but guess i wasnt

I noticed sometimes if u go in the left /middle doors (against knightmare protocol i knwo!) u get different rooms, but maybe i missed her somewhere

After 2 days of trying managed to complete the crown quest
Had a few comments, along the same lines as the others, for any future versions:
Make the blades corridor bigger, as you cant see where they are coming from until they've hit you! Oh also, not really a fault, but if ur holding down the left key for ages to move left, it keeps on moving when you've let go, so if ur in the blade room, when u gotta move right - ur dead as ur still trying to walk left!

But i think it is superb! Maybe this is the way to go in developing knightmare (as were never gonna see a new series!)

Capture DVD Mpeg2 @ 720x576
Filter in Virtual Dub with temporal smoother (low) and static noise reduction. Cleaned up the pic a bit
Filtered sound in cool edit pro - comes up nicely
Re endode in TMPGenc to make roughly 1gb file
These are coming out pretty good - the filters in virtual dub filter out some of the wavy lines, the sound is easy to fix. Its series 1 and 2 which are gonna be hard - the tapes on a standalone vcr or via the pc have flicking or bouncing from the top of the screen, which my tv/vcr combi seems to filter out some how. I think i need a time base corrector, but that costs £100+ so thats out of the question!

Just had a wondering, i tried to do this a while back but ran out of time and went 2 university - now ive almost finished i think im gonna try it again!
Basically - as my VHS tapes wear out, i wanna try and make divx/dvd/xvid captures of the KM episodes to retain their quality.
I should state this is NOT for profit/selling on ebay or anything like that! I promise!
BUt i would be interested if anyone has done this before and could recommend which format works well, e.g. divx/mpeg to dvd etc and any details e.g. resolutions programs etc.
Last time i tried this, the results wernt so good as far as i remember!
BTW i would be using an ATI 9600XT TV in to capture the video,
Help would be very mcuh appreciated!

I agree that VHS is easier with having a video player and not having to buy a DVD player, but thats the same issue with anything? You go and buy a new film either in VHS and risk it wearing with age or getting demaganitised, or you buy a DVD and you get a perfect image for ever and extras etc, plus DVD players are getting cheeper, if not as cheap as a vcr! (the cheapest VCR i saw in argos was 60 quid, and a decent DVD player can cost around 60 70 quid). Plus with DVD writers for PC's DVD's are proberley cheaper to make
Snowcat, i had problems with dropping frames at first, but i tried switching HD, ive got 200GB worth of HD but its partitioned into lots of drives, and interestingly enough the 120GB drive i bought second (NTFS) dropped all the frames, and it was the FAT32 old 80GB drive which only dropped 1 frame! Also i was using virtualdub and tried reinstalling it after clearing all the settings in the registry and that seemed to help, sometimes it gets stuck on a setting u dont want.
Incidently i tried capping it at a lower resolution 320x288 i think it was, and the funny lines i had sort of melded together and shrank so you couldnt see them, so it looked a lot better. But there were loads of sources saying to cap at higher resolutions, but iwanted to make a DVD out of it so i wanted the best quality! But ive had to stop doing that for a while now, exams 
But im still not sure whether to cap at a high or low resolution, the lower one was the best quality i could get, but still didnt look as good as the VHS tape! Although this may be the difference in the moniter resolution.

Yea i got a massive HD, maybe gonna buy DIVX player after exams =( But thought it a good idea to cap the old vhs tapes so they cant degrade. Although tbh the vhs tapes look better then ne caps that ive managed so far.
PS im not trying to sell them, i just want a copy for myself thats not gonna demagnatise in time!
Series 7 - wierd though, it was series 2 and 8 which came out funny, ill have to work on that. I just thought it was time to put it on DVD incase the tapes died!!! Shame i havent got challenge, i could record it straight off there!
I tried it at 640x352 , it looked a bit better actually but i tried it with a later series, so the tape quality was better. The interference lines were closer together so you couldnt see them as much.

yea ive tried that, and most other programs, just keeps having same awful picture, i guess its the old vids, just u cant see the distortion on the tv because of the lower resolution, but u can see it on the high resolution pc moniter.
Yep im capturing from vcr to pc, but analogue capturing. Ive tried adobe premiere and IuVCR and PowerVCR II but i keep getting the same interference (see pic)

(Btw the bottom shouldnt be lighter then the top, thats just a picture error but there are consistant horizontal lines every inch or so on the screen which is the problem) But i dont want to start capturing until i can get rid of this. I have a composite in on my ATI gfx card (and an s-video) i have to use the composite as the svideo comes out black and white. The composite is coming out of a scart 2 phono adaptor out the back of my tv/vcr combi (the lines are still there on a standalone vcr). Ive read in forums to use uncompressed AVI's to start with like the Huffy codec then convert after, (ive got HD space so thats ok) and then i may try and author them to a DVD or just make DIVX files from them.
Any help with the interference problem would be helpful! I didnt know if it was just the resolution of the moniter finding errors in the video which you cant see on the tv.
