    In the early series, there seems to have been a definitive, specific, laid out path. An item was used in a particular location and if you didn't have the item (for whatever reason) when it was needed then you died. The problem is that this lead to the situation where you can do badly in the clue room and still get through the dungeon by being lucky with your selection of items. On the other hand, if you did well, picked up exactly the right items, but missed a clue (or didn't understand the advice given) you were certainly dead. So bad teams could progress and good teams could fail, and it wasn't necessarily clear why. Later series seem to have eased up on this and there always seems to have been an alternative approach available for taking the wrong items (at least in level 1).

    Could someone please help? I'd really like to see the extended version. You can now watch the original upload of the extended Geek Week episode here. There's also a later upload here. Let us know what you think of it. Something I've only just noticed: the first thing to happen in the episode is a facing-away-from-the-camera sidestep (by Veruca). Surely deliberate? Thank you! Great to see the extra stuff! Also nice to hear the opening theme tune fade out naturally without the door-creaking-open sound effect at the end.

    I wonder if the Lords Of The Game pilot will forever remain a convention exclusive or if there might still be any future opportunity to see it. (And the pilot eps of Knightmare, for that matter. Would be cool if Tim could dig them out for the 40th anniversary next year!) I fear it’s unlikely. The pilot was filmed as “not for broadcast” so I imagine that legally it cannot be distributed. We did ask if we could include it on the DVD but although he gave it serious consideration, Tim said nay. I fear the pilots may have the same status

    Hmm. The most common complaint is "It's for babies!" Am I right? But if you believe my mother, everything I like is for babies.

    It has to be Series 8! So it was too short, but we had great characters of Treguard and Majida in the anti-chamber, Lord Fear and Lissard in there tower, the return of Motley, The Sewers of Goth, room-to-room gameplay, Snapper Jack, the Snap Dragons, a good level of difficulty, no long, boring eyeshield sequences, a good final encounter with Fear and Hordriss, more great characters in Sidriss, Sly Hands and Smirky not to mention the briliant Joanne Heywood as Stiletta! Need I go on?

    Emil, Yes I was serious. I fear the Hordriss special would be a little too flamboyant, even for me. As for 123Pooka's suggestion, I've found that if I just let my hair grow naturaly it seems to take on the style known as "series 2 Treguard2.

    Seems you've been given the main three sources there. There are probably a great many km fans out there who are writing but not showing too! I know of one by a certain Rachelesque that has slipped into the depths and doesn't often get a mention

    This series 4 episode 5 title sequence I will watch again, as I missed it yesterday. If I'm not mistaken that's not the only episode end that it's on. As Billy says, it is repeated in other episodes. In fact, I imagine you'll see it again tomorrow! (or today, as I type, this is now Wednesday).

    Wow. Even me, as a self admitted non-fan of the causeway, thaught it had a higher kill ratio than that. And I thaught the cob had about a 50% kill ratio. Knew it had killed four teams, I just thaught only eight encountered it.

There are news items about the actors on the main site, and if you take a look at the KM VR threads, you'll get an idea of which KM actors are still with the current KM VR production at this time.

    I think it was the penultimate team because the final team didn't encounter all of the Vale of Vanburn. (I wonder if it was cut to make time.) Martin's team were the penultimate one, and they met an imprisoned Velda in that room, whom they set free with a key from the clue room. No spidey. The final team were, as I recall it, the only team to go through the cave in the middle of the VoV; they were being chased by goblins from both behind and in front of them. After hints from Treguard they took that exit, went through the corridor of the catacombs, and emerged back at the 'waterfall' end of the VoV, where Hordriss chased off the goblins with a magic sword.
