    In the early series, there seems to have been a definitive, specific, laid out path. An item was used in a particular location and if you didn't have the item (for whatever reason) when it was needed then you died. The problem is that this lead to the situation where you can do badly in the clue room and still get through the dungeon by being lucky with your selection of items. On the other hand, if you did well, picked up exactly the right items, but missed a clue (or didn't understand the advice given) you were certainly dead. So bad teams could progress and good teams could fail, and it wasn't necessarily clear why. Later series seem to have eased up on this and there always seems to have been an alternative approach available for taking the wrong items (at least in level 1).

    Could someone please help? I'd really like to see the extended version. You can now watch the original upload of the extended Geek Week episode here. There's also a later upload here. Let us know what you think of it. Something I've only just noticed: the first thing to happen in the episode is a facing-away-from-the-camera sidestep (by Veruca). Surely deliberate? Thank you! Great to see the extra stuff! Also nice to hear the opening theme tune fade out naturally without the door-creaking-open sound effect at the end.

    I wonder if the Lords Of The Game pilot will forever remain a convention exclusive or if there might still be any future opportunity to see it. (And the pilot eps of Knightmare, for that matter. Would be cool if Tim could dig them out for the 40th anniversary next year!) I fear it’s unlikely. The pilot was filmed as “not for broadcast” so I imagine that legally it cannot be distributed. We did ask if we could include it on the DVD but although he gave it serious consideration, Tim said nay. I fear the pilots may have the same status

    never any real need for lord fear to send dragons and trolls he won the whole knightmare game anyway. he said he would never give up and on avarange only one team per season won..  so in all Fear was the overall winner.       on the other hand the only quest object he still hold is the cup.. so many he did loose.

    Also otherwise known as Mr Brittas as in Gordan! So the sir names are actually spelt slightly different though, but very similar. Do any characters have any links to other actors/actresses i.e. are related or married to any other actors/actresses?

    Well i think that I have stated my opinion on this matter. I feel that anyone without Sky is entitled to Knightmare but I feel illegal or dodgy versions are not only wrong but will damage the chance of anything officially coming out.

    I hate it when they ask riddles that I still don't know the answer to. Would have been helpful if Gwendoline had actually said what the answer was in some of the riddles she said, along with a firm "Falsehood", rather than saying "no." That was helpful.

    I is for Irons - manacles or handcuffs used by Skarkill to capture dungeoneers. He was succesful in using them to put an end to one team's quest - that being Series 5 Team 2

    Didnt realise until 18months later that there was no more KM, but never gave up hope until around 1997 Looking back on it im glad i taped the last three series to remember! (And 3-5 on challenge!) Still go on bout it now, and say my usual Oooh... Nasty.... Knightmare, R.I.P Until resurrection...

    Nice thought people I never noticed some of the previous series comments that you mentioned.  When I was in school there were 4 of us in my class who always wanted to be in KM but we never applied because basicly we didnt know how.  I was supposed to be the dungeoneer in fact, probably because I was the least bright lol.  I suppose Im just surprised that there wernt enuf teams of 4 that knew about KM to fill a series.

    Simply put, the Life Force has no "set speed"... it runs at varying speeds for no major reason (or at least it would seem). If you're going to consider the end credit versions for speeds, consider the one at the very end of Season 3... it appeared just after the credits started, and began from the start of Condition Orange. I think the only reason it would get particularly sped up would be if there was reason for it (e.g. dungeoneer getting damaged by magic sword), but that aside it didn't really have a "speed"... plus in some cases it was deliberately slowed down (e.g. team walks into L2 Clue Room, with LF already at red. The LF clock goes pretty slowly, giving the team time to get down the stairs and reach the food just as the eyes are beginning to peel away).

    Series 3 Team 9 has just sprung to mind. Like Series 3 Team 1, they stepped into the quicksand area in the green valley, but unlike the latter, didn't sink down.
