In the early series, there seems to have been a definitive, specific, laid out path. An item was used in a particular location and if you didn't have the item (for whatever reason) when it was needed then you died. The problem is that this lead to the situation where you can do badly in the clue room and still get through the dungeon by being lucky with your selection of items. On the other hand, if you did well, picked up exactly the right items, but missed a clue (or didn't understand the advice given) you were certainly dead. So bad teams could progress and good teams could fail, and it wasn't necessarily clear why. Later series seem to have eased up on this and there always seems to have been an alternative approach available for taking the wrong items (at least in level 1).

Could someone please help? I'd really like to see the extended version. You can now watch the original upload of the extended Geek Week episode here. There's also a later upload here. Let us know what you think of it. Something I've only just noticed: the first thing to happen in the episode is a facing-away-from-the-camera sidestep (by Veruca). Surely deliberate? Thank you! Great to see the extra stuff! Also nice to hear the opening theme tune fade out naturally without the door-creaking-open sound effect at the end.

Hugo has been known to make a few cameo appearances at Knightmare Live performances - both he and Mark Knight featured at the Leicester Square Theatre performance in November last year.

I wonder if the Lords Of The Game pilot will forever remain a convention exclusive or if there might still be any future opportunity to see it. (And the pilot eps of Knightmare, for that matter. Would be cool if Tim could dig them out for the 40th anniversary next year!) I fear it’s unlikely. The pilot was filmed as “not for broadcast” so I imagine that legally it cannot be distributed. We did ask if we could include it on the DVD but although he gave it serious consideration, Tim said nay. I fear the pilots may have the same status

I don't think there was a right or wrong ansrew to the 'pledge allegiance to the dark side' question per say, I think the 'wrong' move in regards to it would be trusting any 'aid' or spell that Mogdred/Malice would give to the Dungoneer. (But from a Personal perspective as a proud Opposition member I don't see why you wouldn't want to be on the Dark side of the spectrum in Knightmare alliances >:-] )

Hee, I just saw this on CITV's Twitter from earlier in the week: http://twitter.com/ChildrensITV/status/507536092354985984 http://twitter.com/ChildrensITV/status/507551187000774656 (Not entirely relevant to this thread but I couldn't think where else it would fit.)

Truly one of the worse and most frustrating video games ever made. lol I've never seen or played the other version, looks much better but doesn't sound anything like the show.. I think it's time a 3rd attempted at a KM video game. If only people have their own blue screen home system

There's only one person in the world with the corridor of blades and you're paying him for his time to spend day setting it up and another day to run it. Then you have to pay for renting all the equipment - the cameras, the lights, the mixer (all of which are expensive), plus you need someone to build and paint the void, which takes about a day and also costs a couple of hundred pounds (at best)

It had a cherry on the top... Of a Pork Pie... Cherries are nice... But a cherry pork pie has not yet been tried on Masterchef... I like cherries. That is all.

If you've read my 'Jumped the Shark' article on the website, you'll know that I am not a fan of sight spells either. Jake/Eyeshield once described me as a 'fellow member of the newly-formed "Seeing Eye spells are pointless" club'.

Site works for me, it tells me I can rent an episode or 79p and wants payment details. Maybe because you're viewing it through a phone?

Yes, I find this sort of thing quite inspiring - makes you realise that much great art was in fact created by people flying by the seat of their pants. Like a young Bowie scribbling down the lyrics to 'Life on Mars' on the top deck of a London bus. Anyway, really looking forward to Mr Rowe's book!

Difficult to comment without being able to hear the sound. Are you sure that it isn't a problem with the recording? Cool username by the way! Hope you'll stick around and join in the forums.

Welcome back, Jason. Did you have trouble getting into your old account? If so, Mystara/Alan might be able to help you regain access or clear the way for the accounts to be merged. Like you, he knows a thing or two about winning Knightmare. Or should that be 'a thing or one + three'? I think I speak for a few of us when I say that nothing about Knightmare is ephemeral! It's great that you consider yourself a fan and have held on to so much memorabilia from the various Broadsword series. I remember seeing a photo on your website of you in The Satellite Game. It'll be good to learn more about your collection. And feel free to tell us more about what you're up to these days.

I wanted one of those fine art prints too, that kind of sealed the deal for me, I can soon find somewhere to hang it. I don't like stickers simply because im worried i'll get rid of whatever I've stuck them too, lol But other projects I've supported were only even done if they reach the target, I didn't realise this one was going to happen regardless.. so it's not really a pledge but a purchase and maybe that's why it's a bit more expensive.

For me it has to be a toos up between the one already mentioned by Kieran and seconded by Adam. And also his first one of Series 3 (Post titles and opening sequence) The whole "Welcome Once again to the Dungeon of Deceit. Treguard Dungeon Master at your service. Do you passive ones Dare my catacombs? No I thought not, still no matter for others from your time have accepted my challenge." I just love the condescending politeness in the tone of his voice and how he is both welcoming and mocking all at once. A Brilliant Intro.
