Knightmare Challenge!
-
Has anyone completed it yet? Somebody make a walkthrough next year because i have a feeling it's gonna take me a year to complete. I always die on the level 3 causeway.
-
That's genius. Well done to the author.

Bit boring after the nth time of going through all the bits that are the same no matter which way you go, to get to the same ending and having the same non-clue given to you.
Would be better if the "riddles" (or general knowledge questions) were random, as it is I'm now bored of clicking through the same questions to try to get back to one of the points where you have a free choice, and I no longer care where the talisman is.

-
The clue means absolutely nothing to me either.
I suppose more questions and riddles would be good, if you could find a way to randomize them. That's just a minor point, however.
I think Treguard's hidden the talisman in his beard!
-
Well first things first: If i knew how to randomise the paths, I would have done. unfortunatly, there isn't much you can do with .html, but there we go
Secondly: Arcengal - you crossed paths because you went the wrong way on the spindizzy

p.s. already had 3 people email me asking for help once they reach that "stage" where they don't know where the talisman is. remember the clues, and if you really really REALLY have had enough, email me and I'll help

Okay, He didn't have it. She doesn't either. And neither does He (although he did frighten me).
Then I finally stumbled on what She was talking about.
He has it! I'm sorry for suspecting Treguard of hiding it in his beard. Just don't forget the Adventurers' Code.
And don't suppose He's on the cast list.

Oh, I should admit... Oh, never mind.
-
You should admit that the creator sent you an e-mail telling you what to do.
Yeah, well, he sent me one too. I felt the final encounter was a bit anticlimatic, but what can you expect from a txt based adventure?
Great fun all round.
Well, if that's the only way to "win"...
I think I preferred the first one in a way; if you're going to force people to redo vast sections and take different paths you either have to make SURE the outcome is different in each case (and it certainly isn't - there's at least two paths through that end up with the same end guy) or you just end up frustrating your players.

Not enough clues as to what to do to get it right, I'm afraid, from my point of view (although I haven't found the Morghana ending, so I don't know what "clues" she gives). I liked it, up to a point, but then it just got annoying. And the most annoying thing of all is that I would like to see how it /does/ end, but I lack the time and patience to mindlessly click through all the options for an eleventh/twelfth/thirteenth etc. time to find out

I don't mean to sound discouraging - it's fun and I enjoyed playing it, but I don't do endless repetition
Learn javascript or, better still, a scripting language such as PHP or Perl
Don't stop making these challenges, but please make them beatable with logic and guile, rather than just having to exhaust possibilities. -
You should admit that the creator sent you an e-mail telling you what to do.
No, in fact he didn't. Nobody told me the solution. I wasn't one of the people to ask for it.
-
Congratulations for solving it by yourself. You should be very proud. as for Dan, thanks for the critism, i'm glad you spoke your honest mind. i appreciate that more than people lying
I do admit the repetition is.....repetitive, but one day, when i DO get round to making Knightmare III, i will try and randomise. Do also remember that Knightmare I was based on the book. Knightmare II is all completely my own work, and i expect the odd flaws
