Good evening all,
sadly I have been asked to convey to you that Claire will be withdrawing from this year's filming planned for September.
Claire's dad having been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year underwent surgery and following complications and unknown medical conditions at the time sadly lost his fight for life in the early hours of this morning after over a week's struggle. Prior to this news, he had been a very healthy man in his 70s putting many of his peers to shame with his vitality.
As such, Claire will have a great deal to contend with on a personal level and in good faith cannot commit to the project further this year. She appreciates it will cause some disruption however this is the best decision for her at this time.
She has not mentioned at all about refunding her deposit of £30 however I believe personally, and it will of course be a group decision to make, that if not given the opportunity to have it back this time around it should be kept aside for her to use towards her participation in the next filming shoot instead.
I will of course pass on all of your very best wishes at this most difficult of times for Claire and her family.

Oh dear. Very sorry to hear about her loss.
I know everyone processes these things differently, so I'm happy to keep her slot open for this season. That is to say that I'll find an alternative assignment of roles, but she can have them back at a moment's notice if, down the line, she decides she wants them back.

I've adjusted the roles to compensate for Claire. Everyone's roles (except Keith) have changed, but probably only very slightly.

I hadn't been on since dad passed, thank you so much! I posted under participants about 5 minutes ago what had happened with dad so apologies for the wrong thread.
Don't worry about the £30 deposit, it's the last thing on my mind, I just hope you all have a good trip.
Apologies again for backing out at short notice but I put all that in the other thread, hadn't seen this one.
