So here is what's known so far:
- The game is currently named "Knightmare" - it's a point-and-click adventure
- The game is officially approved by Tim Child
- Seven original actors are reprising their roles (Hugo Myatt, Mark Knight, Clifford Barry, Edmund Dehn, Iona Kennedy, Paul Valentine, and Alec Westwood), and one advisor from Season 4 (Katharine Bennett-Fox)
- The game is a two-person job; Ewen Watson as the writer, and Sathya SchlΓΆsser as the artist/animator - NO AI USED, SWEET!
- The game will be PC exclusive at first - potential for a Mac and Linux release too
- The game is estimated to have 1-2 hours of playtime, but I'm guessing will have replayability if there's multiple paths
- No release date, but said to come out in 2027

Ooh found a comment regarding multiple paths, and the life force clock:
"So this version of the game is a short game with one quest paths. The other 3 are blocked but we hope to open them one day if this version is successful. Life force is not in this game BUT we will reference it and we hope to have the scary life force animation in some way too."
If they need funds down the line for the other paths, I am taking out a loan

Been a long time since I've visited here but great to see a game to celebrate the 40th anniversary next year. I see it was mentioned on Time Extension's website. I do have the ZX Spectrum game that is also mentioned in the article which is certainly better than the original game that came out back in the day.

I'm intrigued to find out who Katharine is playing - perhaps someone like Lillith whose original actor is no longer available? (Unless the game includes an advisor for the player and she's just being herself!!)

You may already know this by now, but Katherine is playing a new character based loosely on the raven.

Hi. Ewen says it didn't feel right to include characters played by actors who have passed (which is entirely fair). My money is on Gretel, as Alec W made quite a public request for Audrey J's contact not long ago. If not Gretel, then maybe Mellisandre.

Ah, yes. Not sure how I missed the fact he said 'original characters'.
Still, there must have been appetite for a Gretel or equivalent at some point. (Which makes sense, if there's two jesters.) -

That was very interesting. I'm impressed with the multiple years' worth of hard graft that's obviously gone into this. I'm looking forward to playing it - as Martin says, it's how Knightmare should be translated into a computer game but never really has been before. Like Ewen, I like the fan-made one where you can manipulate a cut-out of Scott using the arrow keys, but that's very limited by just using screencaps and sound clips from the show to make the quest, whereas this is a whole new world built from scratch - extremely impressive.

It was mentioned on the podcast that they're apparently looking for beta testers down the line? If so, I would be so tempted. Either way, I really want to stream my first playthrough on YouTube, I haven't been this excited for a game release in a while!
