Well I said I was getting back into wrieting Knightmare fanfiction...
So here is my first completed KM Fanfic in quite some time.
The Taking Of Motley

This tale tells the story of Motley's kidnap by The Opposition in-between seasons 6&7 of The Greater Game and also explains just how Motley knew about a certain Warrior-Thief even though he had apparently never met her before on screen.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, Ricky! You are so good at characterisation - I love it when I can hear every line in the actors' voices as I read them. Seashell! So much attention to detail as well, lovely stuff. Made me laugh that old Count Brinkatore still doesn't get any actual lines!
I have spent a considerable amount of time puzzling over the whole Motley & Stiletta thing in the past. Motley's first scene in Series 8 makes very little sense (contradicting itself several times) and it's even more confusing if you try to include Stiletta's TQ interview as canon! I came up with one theory about them having met in the past, then decided I preferred a different theory where they hadn't. I really like your vision of the kidnap plot and Stiletta's involvement, though - it's all very elegant and I can well imagine it happening that way! This is definitely one of my favourite fanfics.
Oh hey, you might be able to answer a query for me while I think of it... was it your own idea to make Grippa & Rhark brothers, or did you get that from an official source? I always thought I'd read it somewhere, but I can't find any mention of it in the show or TQ or the books, so I'm confused as to whether it's canon or something the fans invented.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. A second story is well on its way to completion and should be up before the week is out (Barring any unforeseen issues)
As to your query I'm not sure where the whole Grippa & Rhark being brothers thing comes from either.
I to seem to remember reading it somewhere but wouldn't like to swear to that fact. I'm tempted to say it might be from the KM Book The Forbidden Gate by David Morris but again not 100%.

He's back! I enjoyed this Aladdin's cave of retcon, including as it did a host of in-jokes that were particularly rewarding for your long-term readers. As someone who once wrote a Motley fanfic in which he barely appeared at all, I was pleased to see him taking centre stage here, so to speak. The Fear/Hands dialogue was marvellously written. Here's hoping there's plenty of goblin ink left in the goblin pens! And feel free to cross-post your fanfics to Knightmare.com (i.e. submit them as articles) too. Will the second story be Fidjit's Ill-Fated Search for Motley by any chance?

Yay, another great piece of writing. I don't think Pixel has appeared in many previous stories, so it's nice to see her in this one, and the redeployment of Gretel works surprisingly well! (I had forgotten that little detail from David's fic.) As usual you totally nailed the various characters' personalities.

Ha, this is very similar to a scene in the fic I'm currently working on! The setting is different, but you envisaged and described it in much the same way that I did. I like the explanation as to why Daisy hadn't seen them in the Geek Week episode! A nice little sketch, especially the ending.
