Knightmare VR (which can be found on YouTube if you haven't seen it) includes an "avatar", a giant blue humanoid and a mix of live action and CGI, but not much of a plot. You're welcome, James Cameron.

Thank you, James. You've done us a great service. I hope that meeting Tim Child was a highly positive experience for you, and vice versa. Interviews with him can be quite elucidating, so I look forward to seeing what he had to say.

Yay! I'm so pleased all the big names are getting involved, it wouldn't be the same without the likes of Pickle and Lord Fear.

Well today folks is 24 years to the day that Knightmare was first shown on television, and the countdown to the big quarter of a century milestone has officially begun. Am going to put forward my plans to mark this occasion in the near future, so stay tuned.... Really?! Wow, I learn something new everyday

I was on the train earlier on this afternoon when I heard a couple of guys opposite me discuss various television shows. Then amazingly, I heard them mention Knightmare and after letting them them speak for a few more seconds just to confirm they were talking about Knightmare, I walked across and introduced myself, in order to congratulate them! This immensely fanastic moment has led me to ask: Have you had a sudden Knightmare moment appear out of the blue whilst you were just going about with everyday life? No matter how accurate or vague you recall the event, it would be interesting to hear other people's encounters explaining what happened and how it affected them.

If you need a further clue, try and think of a rather infamous Level 3 clue item that was used by a team in Series 3.... Good one! no further spoilers please Was that just a figure of speech? If not, I think you'll have to allow people the freedom to talk about the article in as much detail as they wish as soon as they wish, because it does deserve to be discussed by anyone who cares to. If you feel that posts about the article may damage your appreciation of it, the simplest solution is surely to take your eye off this thread for the moment. According to one post in the Retro Gamer Issue 90 thread, KM was never shown in Norway. This is interesting, given that it made it to Finland. I wonder if we'll ever get a definitive list of the countries in which it was shown. As long as Tim Child is still open to interviews, hope sprigs eternal.

I didn't realise the whole episode (and indeed series) was on YouTube. Though to watch the Knightmare segment, and indeed to download it, one need go no further than the website we are on. Ideally, I believe it should eventually have a page of its own on the Infosite, consistent with the CiTV Birthday Bash and The 100 Greatest Kids' TV Shows... And thank you to Keith for meeting my shameless demand.

Thanks for the heads up - I went to BFI Southbank earlier on today to investigate. You can use the Mediatheque there for up to 2 hours, and the guy who set me up whilst explaining how to use it also stated that all 2,000+ programmes on the Mediatheque database (including Knightmare) are from the BFI National Archives, so that should answer Mystara's question. As for the episode of Knightmare featured on the Mediatheque itself, yes its from an 1988 episode but I won't spoil things by saying exactly which episode - I'd rather that people headed over to the Mediatheque themselves to find out which episode it is. All I will say is that the Mediatheque description put a strong emphasis on the word "hapless".... If you get a bit of spare time after watching the Knightmare episode I strongly recommend searching for Moondial - another children's TV programme that dates back to 1988, and whilst it doesn't have the adventure gameshow element, it resembles almost everything else of Knightmare in terms of chilling fear factor and darkened edginess.

I've been worried about insects lately. Specifically, crickets. I'm wondering if the snow has killed them off. Anyway, back on topic: I wondered if Mark Knight would be on Twitter, so I typed in his name and he is can you believe. Thanks for finding this, Ben. I am surprised. After all, the Opposition isn't exactly famous for retweeting. ... Aah, I hear the crickets now.

On the downside, this may very well be a cheap Zelda knockoff with no puzzle solvey KM goodness whatsover. That would annoy, I will not deny.

I like that high angle shot showing the AnteChamber and Blue Screen room together. I knew they were both close together but didn't realise it was THAT close. Was expecting one to be "Next Door" to the other. ie completely seperate rooms. Certainly makes the S8 trapdoor much more meaningful as the Dungeonerr was quite literally entering the Dungeon!

There are some really cool Pics there! It's strange to see all the Knightmare cast out of costume, especially Hordriss! I too would so love that Fright Knight jumper that Hugo has!
