Sorry, but are we talking about challenge where they have an hour per programme: Probable example today: Adverts - 5.55 - 6.05 Knightmare - 6.06 - 6.21 Adverts - 6.21 - 6.51 Knightmare - 6.52 - 7.02.... In fairness though, at least they are showing Knightmare!!

I think Challenge is in Sky's basic package which you can get for around £15-£20 I think!

I also have noticed that the Anglia gold section of their website has not been updated since about the end of last year. It still hasn't been updated!

Sky+ (which I don't have, but would quite like) is extortionately expensive. It makes the Sky Sports prices (which I neither have nor want) look reasonable.

I should add that the 3.30am showing on Monday morning may still exist, but Challenge?'s own schedules don't stretch that far forward. Addendum: This week's early Monday showing is at 1am, not 3.30am.

Well, from what I've read I believe the new series is going to be aimed at a children's programming thread (mind you, the BROADCAST article reports that Tim Child is steering clear of kids channels) so we might not be able to apply. TimeGate, on the other hand, is an adult programme (no, not in that sense!) which means we could apply to go on it.

Hi Guys, Seems like this archive business has caught ur attention, heres Tim's reply in full. Might go well on the website. Stephen, thanks for your mail. Sometime this year we are going to try and record all the series onto a DVD master as a public archive. If we record this at below transmission quality (say VHS), trim off replications of opening and closing titles, then we can probably compress down enough to fit the material onto 2 discs at the most. The next problem is distribution. We would not be able to sell anything - even to recover the duplication costs, because we have no rights to distribute the work of the actors involved without their permission or payment. Over the years it was a big cast, and although almost all became - and still are - personal friends - there will always be those who will decline to sign a disclaimer, or perhaps their agents will decline for them. What I would like to do is eventually put the whole archive in the public domain, so anyone can access it for viewing.. As I guess you now understand - that's not going to be easy. In the meantime, it should be obvious that I cannot sell anyone copies of the programmes, for legal reasons. Even when I give them away - as I have to individuals, I am probably breaking the law. The support of yourself and the other knightfans is a continuing pleasure for me. thanks TC

Yes I did, but I posted because all the eps of Knightmare I've seen so far have this odd 'drifting' sound problem. The ads are okay, as was the programme before/after. I'm not 100% sure what you're all going on about, but your signature makes a lot of sense! I wish 'e would shurrup, dearie!

Tim Child himself aka beveryafraid has explained the situation (in the Filthy Challenge thread). Knightmare is very expensive, what with Equity fees and so on. It was a huge stroke of good fortune that Challenge decided to shell out for just one series, let alone all of them.
