In the early ‘90s, adding dynamic objects to Eye Shield sequences was too complex due to limited motion tracking and compositing tech. Today, AR and game engines like Unreal enable real-time interaction, making such sequences fully immersive and interactive, enhancing gameplay with responsive characters and objects.

oh I hate plain midi files- the roland sound palette is dull and there's so many bad loop points in the samples! However, getting the notes into some VST channels is fun- with all the effects you can add... I tried to create a version of the theme using all my virtual sample-sets and instruments but I figured that creating the feel I need was not as simple as first anticipated...

I'm with NTL too - had a few problems with viewing most pages on the site a couple of weeks ago, but could access the forums without trouble. Just checked the site, and I seem to be able to browse it without problems.

Hi Rozzy, Thanks for your offer of higher quality clips. I would most certainly be interested in using them on the site in the next update. The low quality of the existing theme clips were pretty much because they were made about 8 years ago with krap equipment and the need for small file sizes . Please could you e-mail them to me at info@illusion.claranet.com. Thanks

I was just rumaging through my computer and found a set of Knightmareish Smilies which were once used on a previous incarnation of this forum. I thought I'd put them back on. The Pooka one has not been seen before...

Ah, good old Thrifty Squirrels! Definitely the most bizarre member this forum's ever had. With a 'friend', she once appeared in chat...the only line I can recall is 'I am Barry Chuckle'. Sadly I can't find her first post, but I remember the thread title: "grr give me back my mini milk you vagrant!" Eventually she started to annoy the forum members, and was banned at the beginning of February 2003. Who knows, maybe one day she'll return! Lol, she sounds a lot like me but I have my limits. Lol, Barry Chuckle. Maybe it was him. Hmmm.

You could change it every week to a quote from the series. How about, "Welcome to Fright-Day! Have a ball... a fire-ball!"

I've not received it yet, but I will ask Jake (the editor of TES) to pass on a message to Liam for him to send it through when finished.

Something like this: Open a new file in Notepad, save it as index.php and put this in it: <?php include("header.inc"); ?> <h3>This is the main content of your page</h3> <p>If you right click me and choose View Source, you'll see that I've stuck three bits of HTML together to make a web page!</p> <?php include("footer.inc"); ?> Now make another file called header.inc and put this in it: <html> <head> <title>Test Page Type Thing</title> </head> <body> Finally, make another file called footer.inc and put this in it: * *</body> </html> Upload all three files to a folder on the server, ensure that they're all in the same folder together and then go to that page on the server. That's all there is to it. Can be made as simple or as complicated as you like.

It's the best kind of site, unofficial ones with some official input. There's much more flexibility for speculation and chat on them. Just thinking about that official Knightmare 'website' makes me shudder...

Something randomly spooky I just noticed (while spooky to me) is that we now have 777 accounts (I say accounts as apposed to members), while over 3/4 of the way to 1000 and Drassil is on his 777th post.

I've been sorry to note a decline in activity on the Forum since I joined in 2003. There was a time when every visit would yield one or more thriving discussion threads that you could join in with; between Friday evening and this morning, no one posted at all. I'm pleased that Robin started this considerate topic, but the fact that some people prefer non-sequiturs and slagging off past members to engaging respectfully with the subject strikes me as, in every sense of the word, pathetic. Maybe the fading of community spirit is insurmountable - I just wish I understood why. I feel I owe plenty to the Forum, and still visit it regularly. I welcome any discussions which look 'interesting' (if that's not too vague), even if that does involve retreading old ground. In my opinion, the Moderators should be more active in creating, promoting and enlivening discussion opportunities - between the three of them, they've only posted three times this month. Not that I wish to tell them how to do their jobs; but it would be reassuring to feel their collective guiding hand (in the metaphorical sense). I started a new thread in the General section, in the hope that it would provide an extra outlet of creativity. But regarding the amount of posting I do... well, with the reduction in forum activity these last six months, my relative share would go up and up, and I don't think it would do for a moderator to appear to be dominating (a worst-case scenario). I've had no internet access at home for the last two months, also, and have had to rely on my local library to keep up to date. Whilst this gives me enough time to check all the threads, it doesn't leave me with any time to contribute. Hopefully this will change in the next few weeks, though.

I got a free double upgrade of bandwidth to 10GB/month but it still doesn't appear to be enough! The clip downloaders use about 70% of this which gives you some idea.

But did he ever say at any time "turn to 1 o clock" or anything like it. I don't think he did. I don't like the clock approach to guiding anyway.

I usually copy any guestbook entries from contestants and paste them at the end of their quest descriptions in the Series sections, so it would be easier to have a look there instead of going through the guestbook history if you want to have a look.
