Hi Helga and welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing your memories and appreciation of Ron Lyon. His frightknight sculptures and trophies were a unique creative contribution to Knightmare. I hope your quest for more of Ron's sculptures is successful!

Welcome to the forum Sammy! Game dev sounds interesting. I studied multimedia and internet technology at Greenwich Uni and had some crossover lectures with people studying game dev. All looked really cool!

I'm browsing through Fan Creations. I don't know if this is suitable for it but I'm working on a card based dungeon crawler that's definitely influenced by Knightmare. It's played live on stream with the audience, so the viewers are the dungeoneers and my character guides them. Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to reading your posts! Knightmare had a number of teams from Kent including Ashford, Bromley and Gillingham. The team from GIllingham were in the year below me at school. I'll have to rewatch how the other Kent teams got on. Cheers!

Hello Quester! Welcome along. Admittedly I don't visit here as much as I used to but still lurk now and again. I see you have just started on series 6. Series 6 is my favourite and I can still easily watch it today. It also brings back memories of when I was 11 at the time and had great times. Enjoy series 6!

We had relatives near Telford. Haven't visited since the 1980's but unfortunately as with many things they change. Many years ago we'd stay over and walk fields nearby with clear views of the Welsh hills but since then it's been largely ruined by house and planning development. I don't remember much from all those years back other than it was so much better and a fun place to be. Do you remember the Earthquake they had around there, must be 40 years ago by now or thereabouts. Not a major tremor but it was big news at the time, something totally unprecedented for the area. It's only a vague memory. Welcome to the forum. Further fans of the series are always encouraged.

It's always encouraging to hear from fans who came to Knightmare after it had finished. It demonstrates that even without the nostalgia which us '80s and '90s kids attach to Knightmare, it is still a special series. Thank you for your interesting list. An excellent suggestion from DragonsBeHere to investigate Knightmare's sister shows: The Satellite Game, Cyberzone, Virtually Impossible and TimeBusters. You might also have fun exploring the similarities and differences between Knightmare and its continental remakes: El Rescate del Talismán (Spain) and Le Chevalier du Labyrinthe (France). I hope one day the pilot for the US, Lords of the Game, will be available too for anyone who didn't get to see it at the Knightmare Convention in 2014. Treasures of the Mindlord, mentioned from time to time on this forum, is worth a look as well.

Welcome to our messageboard, always good to see new names whether you recall the original series or not. We all share the same interest and enthusiasm for what was once - and remains - a great show. I'm in the older bracket if you can call it where remember and watched the original run from late 80's / early 90's. Yes it provides a certain advantage over the younger generation in that you were a part of it but re-runs on Freeview are few and far between now and Youtube can be problematic if you're on a Pay as you Go contract.

The news of a weekly chat has unlocked a long forgotten memory from the recesses of my mind! I remember, in about 2000ish, there was an online quest each week which was housed in a chatroom somewhere. The only details I can remember is that someone played Treguard and set the scene for a contestant to venture through the dungeon. Simpler times! In case you haven't spotted them, the logs for Seasons 1 and 2 of the misnamed 'RPG' are here. Tim Child himself played at one point. Robin/Ben: take a look back at the August-November 1999 guestbook entries and you'll note a very nice coincidence.

Being a Knightmare fan is so much about nostalgia, so it's great to see an old member returning. There is turning back after all. Drassil!! I remember you. How have you been? It's been an age, hasn't it!! It has indeed. A lot has happened for Knightmare and its fans in the past decade. But I'm glad that the website, forum and chatroom are still here to inform and welcome people, especially people like you who haven't forgotten us. Lords of the Game has yet to reach a wider audience, but I look forward to it making an impression. What do you think of the 2013 Knightmare episode?

Hi again, Does anyone have the contact details for Tim and the artist David Rowe please? Also, who did the Knightmare theme tune? Yes. Is there no end to Rick Wakeman's talents? Sorry, I'm probably responding too late for it to be useful, but the Knightmare theme was composed by Ed Welch, whose others gems include the Blockbusters and original Catchphrase themes.
