    In the early series, there seems to have been a definitive, specific, laid out path. An item was used in a particular location and if you didn't have the item (for whatever reason) when it was needed then you died. The problem is that this lead to the situation where you can do badly in the clue room and still get through the dungeon by being lucky with your selection of items. On the other hand, if you did well, picked up exactly the right items, but missed a clue (or didn't understand the advice given) you were certainly dead. So bad teams could progress and good teams could fail, and it wasn't necessarily clear why. Later series seem to have eased up on this and there always seems to have been an alternative approach available for taking the wrong items (at least in level 1).

    Could someone please help? I'd really like to see the extended version. You can now watch the original upload of the extended Geek Week episode here. There's also a later upload here. Let us know what you think of it. Something I've only just noticed: the first thing to happen in the episode is a facing-away-from-the-camera sidestep (by Veruca). Surely deliberate? Thank you! Great to see the extra stuff! Also nice to hear the opening theme tune fade out naturally without the door-creaking-open sound effect at the end.

    I wonder if the Lords Of The Game pilot will forever remain a convention exclusive or if there might still be any future opportunity to see it. (And the pilot eps of Knightmare, for that matter. Would be cool if Tim could dig them out for the 40th anniversary next year!) I fear it’s unlikely. The pilot was filmed as “not for broadcast” so I imagine that legally it cannot be distributed. We did ask if we could include it on the DVD but although he gave it serious consideration, Tim said nay. I fear the pilots may have the same status

    I think that I might have a firewall (I am not sure though), but I don't get asked for a password though (so maybe I don't). As I have said before I never have problems playing clips from this or other sites with Real player, but WMP wont play any of the clips from this site though. I also disabled my anti virus and Internet security software. Also my browser settings were set a while back to low. Also does anyone else have problems when viewing their web pages, such as strange messages like bad request or Method not implemented?

    I think that the life force clock shud be always on screen, like in a bottom corner, and if they did this the walking body would be the best life force clock for the job. As for LF's interaction with dungeoneers, I believe he appeared to dungeoneers more often cause of the spy glass, which I would love to see come back as it really was a good way of getting information rather from oracles. Also in the spy glass, you would always get the witty conversations between LF and his lackeys, and just as much tension when the alert goes off and LF looks directly at you! Now that's cool!

    Has anyone ever tried the Knightmare Caption Competition? I noticed it when I was in college in 2001. At the time, the caption was about a dungeoneer facing a blocker. If you look at it, it's under the subject "Blocked by a Blocker" , the first caption I put in there were: Excuse me, Mr. Blocker, but could you let me through quickly, please. I need to go to the loo. If you look, my sister Sue - Ann Wilkinson, also put a caption in. But if you also look at every other caption from there, I still haven't won yet. What's going on? Some of my captions are funny, and I'm always voted out. If anyone has tried the caption competition, did they have the same fate I did. If so, tell me what the name of the particular caption competition was, and tell me your captions as well, then I'll look at it closely and say if it was funny.

    I remember that i missed a big chunk out of the middle of the first series and loads out of the other series, its a pity that no other channels have been interested in getting the rights to even the existing episodes.

    If you go to the main page (http://www.knightmare.com/) you can get to the Series guide, which will tell you in reasonable detail. The flying dragon, Smirkenorff, was, I believe, first used in Season 5, with regular appearances thereafter. The cards thing, from your description, could be either the Play Your Cards right game (Season 7 level 3, and Season 8 level 2), or, less likely, the Room with the cards in (which, I think, was season 2 level 2, but I'm not sure).

    Thanks... I guess that they may be trying out different slots to see how it affects the viewing figures. Yes, although I'd hope they wouldn't rely on that indication too much, since they don't leave it in one slot long enough for it to settle and for people to know it's there. Either that, or they're getting other shows into the slots they want them once KM is removed from the schedules, and letting KM itself just be moved around accordingly. As expected, it's not scheduled for next Saturday, as far as I can see. I know we've suggested that people don't make many comments on their forum, but I wonder what other normal viewers of the programme will do once they realise it's gone. I suppose a few of them may ask Challenge? what's going on. It's a pity they're doing something positive (i.e. negotiating for other series) at exactly the same time they might realistically come in for a grilling not from us, but from other viewers, for taking it off.
