Challenge WILL show series 5!
-
WOOHOO, this is great news. I am absolutly delighted to hear this and its great we will be able to see a series with Lord Fear in it again
The one problem is, I am going to miss the First Episode(NOOOO) as I will be on holiday so I will have to start watching it from the second episode, hopefully I will just have to catch a repeat
Still fantastic news though, and I like the 3 different start times, The 10AM showing is perfect for me:)

Congratulations RedMage, you figured it out ;D
I think that was probably about as challenging as the questions on Knightmare ;D
I probably will be back from time to time... being on Knightmare is still the best experience of my life so far, despite our appallingly short adventure. I just have to say, it's much, MUCH harder when you're actually doing it, then when you are watching at home!

Wow! Did I hear 'Truth Accepted'? Smashing, I've earned a right not to be eaten then.
Oh I bet it must have been really hard. But I can assure you it wasn't exactly plain sailing just watching - one usually got rather animated.
It's great to hear how influential it was for you. Most of us will envy you somewhat, having had the chance to play. Ok, you didn't get all the way, but to play at all is a wonderfully rare and treasurable act. I applied for S9, which didn't materiallise. KM has been mighty influential on many of us, and the show has given me so, so much; best friends amongst the most important. What can I say - let the tributes and memories forever live on. KaM

HURRAH for a new series, will be great to judge this one again. Must say Id have liked series 1&2 but I suppose beggers cant be choosers.
Another Dungeoneer arives it must be the season for it. Hello.

Then our badgering and persistant comments on the C? forums seem to have done the trick. ;D
Seriously, however...There is no reason for anybody here togo over to Challenge and suggest a new series as yet. We've got what we wanted, and now we should let the other 'viewers' have their moment in the sun again.

Moderation is the key...easy does it.

Isn't it just sir. Hehe, you part-time fan, you!
I remember vividly when the announcement was made for the showing of S4 in April, for a group of us were in the final days of the RPG filming, and nobody had access to computers or anything - and when Emii went home, I think it was, she sent the news through. Gave Ali, the creator of our interactive quests, a big hug. Clentched fists, celebratory shouts were the order, at least from me.
And now, I was lolling around on the KM and Challenge forums to get the news first hand - and feel totally over the moon about it - it's so like we're making a difference! There's a real feeling of our influence now. Great stuff, absolutely fantastic.

-
Indeed.
Three series of Km shown inside of a year. Not only is this great for us (well, those of us who have Challenge! ::)) in the short term but it's strengthening the general fan base, and raising Km's profile - which is exactly what is needed now that a new series is being developed.
-
Absolutely. Have always thought, and perhaps once or twice said, on the prospect of the DVD releases, that KM can be absolutely huge, because of this extra time that's passed, which means KM keeps all of its existing fans, now a little 'older' than the program was originally designed for, and now it can catch up on that mini-generational gap, attracting lots and lots of young people, who either missed the chance to see it, were too young back then to see it, and fans who can reignite their passion for the show.
So right on the importance of grabbing popularity for the new series that are being produced. Can all be absolutely massive, and wouldn't we be proud to see that happen?

It's gonna be shown in October, so we have a good month to just relax, suffer selective amnesia, and re-watch every episode between here and then.
Challenge, the Floaty White Skull is now appeased - go in peace. :-X

It's possible that they view series 1 and 2 to be prototypes of a kind - where everything was still being worked out and that by series 3 the show had found its feet. As a result, I'd imagine that they'd only get series 1 and 2 when all the others have been exhausted and there is still demand.
As for what happens after ALL the series are shown and there is still demand... well, who knows?
-
It is indeed good news.
I'm slightly surprised at the days they'll be showing it. I suppose it heralds the possibility that they therefore won't show it to death within a few months, which is good. However, I do hope they make sure to keep their GJs' comments geared to telling people the day of the next episode, since it will be less obvious than before. More informative comments, less comments about fake tan. Oh, and I hope that once they've shown it once or twice they act a little quicker in deciding whether or not they intend to buy another series than they have in the past.
But, at the same time, yay.
