I don't think the Gruagach should've been brought in, just another puffed-up generic bad guy, and we had Mogdred for that. Arawn might've been an interesting addition though.

      Hmm...

Another thought is that Gruagach was destroyed during the first novel when Tregauard initially re-claimed Dunshelm/Knightmare castle.

Nothing saying we couldn't try for a spin-off series, perhaps set BEFORE the events that we all know and love? Characters came and went with barely a sniff of continuity most of the time. Would be nice to see some of the backing stories for characters other than Treguard (who is reasonably well established via the novels.).

Guys, guys, you're chatting along as if everyone knows who 'Aarawn' and 'Guagach' are. At a guess, are they Lord of the Rings characters?

            Not this time...

            The first Knightmare novella:-

Knightmare: Can you beat the Challenge?

Damn you Martin! Ye beat me to it again!

In fact, Arawn was in Knightmare: The Labyrinths Of Fear.

Well that was implied by Folly during the story, but not clearly stated.

If Arawn had been in the show, it would just have ticked me off more, since the actual Arawn is a figure from Celtic/Welsh mythology, and is the prince of the Celtic Hades, not a poncy bloody elf...
