Even though TC's ratings can do that, they normally always end up higher than the other prime-time shows, though seeing Family Fortunes there kinda reminds me about those weekday lunchtimes me and my friends spent together, lol.

Out of those 2 reasonings, I think we all hope it's the first one. Though you have to wonder what it's ratings would be like with more advertising.

On Tuesday I've noticed that Takeshis Castle is on for an hour from 6-7pm. 😠 I think also that Monday is the end of series 3. Also there might be a lot of kidsies watch it at 10am due to the summer hols!

On the subject of Night Fever I was one of those sad people that liked it when it was on Channel 5. I think that was because that was the only thing that used to be on tele at that time then!

I could copy and paste the latest "Weekly Top 10" here, but we'd only start whinging about the programmes included and not included anyway, so I won't bother. I can't believe all those people who thought watching You Bet! would be a fruitful way to spend their evening...

        You didn't?

        You did!!!!

        Shame on you!

Hey, I was kind of thankful for the 10am slot on my holiday, It was the only reason I could watch Knightmare for that week. Though now Knightmare kind of clashes with a few things my parents want to watch....

Come to think of it, except from Knightmare, what shows do people think are actually good on Challenge?

Well i used to wath the Crystal maze on challenge about 4/5 years ago, Challenge looked really odd during that time.

I used to watch Fortunes until my mum bombarded me with it every day, which then I got bored with it. I used to watch the Chrystal maze until Challenge bombarded me with the continuous repeat loop of it, which then I got bored with that also. Goodnes I just hope that that doesn't happen with Knightmare :o. At the moment I still enjoy seeing the repeats again and again as everytime I see certain episodes it still seems somewhat new even if you have seen it a dozen times before and know what is going to happen next, there always seems to be something you missed or have forgotten . Although series 4 is kind of repetative, I never seem to tire of it though . I mean who could get bored with incedences like "Simon! Sidestep to your left" . The problem with those other shows it that they are repetative and lose that unfamiliararity about them.

I just spotted this thread again since it's been moved and was just wondering what the ratings have been so far since the last showing of series 5 up to now. Does anyone know or have any idea?

Hmm just looking at the times, I wonder if that is the actual time they got that figure. If so you can't really say that only that many people were watching Knightmare at that time (1929) as there may have been a few people tuned in slightly later. I sometimes tend to tune in slightly after it has started. Looking at figures for April and May, there is a right mixed bunch of good ones and not so good ones there, including the 15th April 41.5 (thousand) and a few in the 30s also there are some quite low ones including 2.55 (thousand) I believe the lowest on 13rd April.

1929 is the start time of the programme (often channels start shows a few secs early). I believe the figure is the average rating for the whole broadcast.

It's very curious - those viewing figures are distinctly staggered (high, then medium, then low, then back to high again etc.) I wonder why.

The changes in the ratings seem very strange indeed. You'd have thought the 'cliffhanger' aspect of KM might keep a regular audience tuning in. Perhaps because it is shown frequently viewers just dip into it, rather than avidly watch every episode.

I'm a little disappointed with those figures...

But, they're still impressive for a minor cable channel.

I'm rather curious myself - I hope they were better and more regular than the ratings for S6-8. I wonder if the time-slot change has improved the show's prospects.

Do you think challenge should rest Knightmare for a while after this run? Obviously we want it on all the time, but a rest might do the show some good.

Knightmare has not featured in Challenge's Top Ten ratings since end of May. I have just tried to look up full figures from www.viewingfigures.com but it doesn't seem to be loading up at the moment.

I think that Challenge might rest it at the end of series 8 and I agree that maybe it does need a bit of resting. I'd love to see series 1 again and 2 (which I missed), but as much as I'd love to see series 3-8 again I think that it might need a break before it gets shown again. I have a feeling that the ratings dropped quite a bit that's why it was moved to Saturday mornings. Personally I don't think that the raitings have been that high since being moved to 8-9am weekends, particularly with the younger viewers due to other kids programs on the other channels. How many people do you think (out of the whole the population of Britain) watch Challenge between about 7am and 12pm over the weekends? I don't think that it's that many. How many people watch tv from about 7-9.30am on Sunday mornings? I doubt that many as a lot of people sleep in. I also can't see, that many people staying up late Sunday night to watch the early Monday morning repeats because a lot of them either have to be up early for work or to get the kids up and to school.

I know that this may sound negative, but I'm speaking from a reality point of view.
