Re:Download Knightmare Game Here!
-
I'm downloading the game now. Will give feedback when I've had the chance to play it.
I must say, seeing the screenshots it does look very cool!
-
Yeah the screenshots do look good don't they?
Almost real from a distance!
Most of the scenery, objects and people were edited from screenshots from the TV series'!
I'm warning you though- it's pretty tough but if you know what you're doing, and you know whats going on around you then that makes it easier!
but then try it when you have a helmet on your head and someone's guiding you- then it's a challenge!
...And in a candle lit room!
All in all, I say the game looks very authentic and I'm well proud of what I have achieved!

Only played it for 15 minutes so far, but a very entertaining 15 minutes. Fantastic work! A few problems. It's kind of hard to read scrolls. I noticed a glitch that reduced my life to eyeballs as soon as I entered. I'd love to see more videos and more quality images on the next game, but for a first-time project, outstanding! I thought movement was a problem, but it had perfect timing on everything.
Rating on spec: 8.7 out of 10.

I thought it was on a CD as you said in another topic and you asked for postal address????

It Was, But I Am Hosting On The Web So That The World Can Have It In A Few Short Minutes Instead Of A Few Long Days

I have a few more comments about it. It probably sounds picky, but I'm guessing you want constructive criticism.
-
Anytime I was to give a password or answer, I just started hitting all the letters on the keyboard. Maybe have about ten answers up and let the player choose by typing it in.
-
PLEASE change that witch. It's the one thing I keep dying from. It's impossible to get the food AND escape.
-
I like that I'm able to Pause and look at the help screens for anything I might need.
-
I don't know how to run the Pooka file. What is it for?
-
I died on that Play Your Cards Right puzzle because I wasn't sure how to answer. I thought I was suppose to back up, then approach my choice, and by backing up...I promptly died. How do you play it? (not the rules, but how to answer)
Still a great game.

All you do is click on the cards with your cursor.
You don't have to move about the dungeoneer

Hi - I've downloaded the game and loved it!
Just two little probs I've found... the first wall monster password - i've never found the clue to the password but have successfully guessed it random keyboard pressing (basically, it wont let you get the answer wrong - along with other password rooms)
and the battle chess board is a bit weird,
but other than those, its been great fun... i've not had much problem with the witchs beams... just gotta have good timing for that... the corridor of blades was quite scary... and when on one quest the first room of level 1 was the bomb room too! All great stuff bringing back heaps of memories that I now get to feel a part of!
Excellent work! This'll put ya in the Knightmare history books!

Really enjoyed the PC game. Suprising that it was put together using TGF (The Games Factory). When I heard about it I figured you'd used MMF (Multimedia Fusion) or another more advanced program, but you've really done well, especially with the limitations of TGF.
One problem I did find was that the life force clock was sometimes too quick, especially when I came across a wall monster, freezing the dungeoneer, meaning the clock ran out before I could pick up the food. Sorry if this has been mentioned before.
I'm currently drawing up plans for a simple minigame called "Pooka Invaders". It's basically a simplistic shoot-em-up in the style of Space Invaders\Galaxian using Knightmare graphics. I'm planning to make the enemies Pookas (obviously), use the helmet of justice as the player piece and the Shield quest object or possibly the Eye Shield as the protective bases. Once I've got a beta done I'll let you know.
Once again, well done!

Yes! I beat it! Now which quest will I pick next time?
-
Have to say the game is great!!
Very suprised at how good it is! A good selection of rooms and the voicing + eye shield clips are very cool
After 2 days of trying managed to complete the crown quest
Had a few comments, along the same lines as the others, for any future versions:
-
Make the blades corridor bigger, as you cant see where they are coming from until they've hit you! Oh also, not really a fault, but if ur holding down the left key for ages to move left, it keeps on moving when you've let go, so if ur in the blade room, when u gotta move right - ur dead as ur still trying to walk left!
-
Walking slightly faster
-
i think one of the blockers has a password which your not given?
But i think it is superb! Maybe this is the way to go in developing knightmare (as were never gonna see a new series!)

Um ... I did give you my postal address, right? only I havent seen any knightmare games appearing in the mail
Must download game!

Okay, downloaded and ... played ... it's awesome, how on earth did you do that on the games factory?!
I have the GFact myself and I know it's very dificult to make anything big on it... congratulations for producing a real knightmare experience! .... my only complaints would be some of the graphics (notably the added gfx such as the bomb fuse flame) need to look a bit more authentic and the lack of animation in some areas (and the sidestep animation could use a little more movement in the left leg the leg that is not stepping) and also it carries the common bug which the games factory displays where it sometimes freezes and repeats whatever sound it was playing .... but all in all an awesome game and real fun to play! I look forward to future versions! ... any plans to put a title sequence in? that would be really awesome!
Also ... am I allowed to edit or modify the game in any way? (the game file is editable and I already modified it to run windowed so I can do other things while playing ... so many levels/rooms in that game) ... and if you need any gfx or animation ...
