Re:Billy's Picky Website Corrections...and other people's, too!

... and here's another one that's been an older solution backfiring!
Just received the usual newsletter E-Mail about the site update and found that the Logo (I'm assuming "KM.com" or similar) has been replaced with the 'This image has been hotlinked' message...

Despite the fact I haven't written anything on here in the last 15 months (and most people won't have a clue who I am despite having been registered since November 2002 and only making 57 posts in that time), I feel inclined to post something.
Consider this page:
http://www.knightmare.com/series/citv/94/index.htm
Since it mentions briefly that CITV came out of vision in 2004, it might be worth mentioning just for the sake of completeness alone that CITV moved to Manchester from Birmingham in 2005, breaking 22 years of tradition.
CITV Programming on ITV1 has been totally scrapped as of late 2006 save for 50mins a day of programming that goes out at some ungodly hour of 5:10am around the Christmas period.
Scrapped on the main channel soon after the launch of the CITV channel in March 2006, ITV closed Granada Kids in Leeds in 2006, meaning no more children's productions will be made by ITV for CITV. The CITV channel is the source of constant speculation that it will be closed by the end of the year.

On Erin's website at http://www.eringeraghty.com , there's a CV, and in it is "GoodyBadWife in KNIGHTMARE series". This confirms that she played Mistress Goody, not the Ogre.
The question is: who was the ogre? Now that I've seen this here I've nuked a similar post on the main forum, which I only made as EG is still credited as being the ogre on the S4 main page...

According to the Lexicon, the ogre was played by an actor called Bryan McNerney.

http://knightmare.com/clips/series4/index.htm:
'End of Episode' and 'End Credits' both link to http://knightmare.com/clips/series4/4episode_end.rm. The End Credits video clip is in fact at http://knightmare.com/clips/series4/4outro.rm.
http://knightmare.com/series/8/index.php?page=teams2:
Under the 'Info' heading for Team 7 of Series 8 (Oliver), it says:
In October 2005, Matthew Morgan, one of the advisors in this team e-mailed in:
I played on the show and Lord Fear killed me with a fire ball. I hate Lord Fear - I almost won!. He is an embarrassment to nature. I should never of taken that door, we are still regretting it at this very moment.
This bears no relation to what we saw happen to Team 7. However, it matches what happened to Team 4 (Michael). Illusion, might the email have come from Michael, rather than Matthew?

I sent an email about the eyeshield issues not working from the main site, it's because the 's before the index.htm need to be changed to /'s in all the links to get them to work. I've checked this.
I just thought i'd post it here as i think the email went wrong since my browser crashed while i sent it

Methinks that link to the (now non-existant) Off-Topic forum in the news fader should be removed...
(I'm creating a new chat board that you can all join, if you want to talk about non-KM things, anyway )
Thanks, I will remove that.
Thanks for other comments above. Noted.

http://knightmare.com/news/121-knightmare/1346-john-woodnutt.html:
John Woodnutt, who played 'Merlin' in Knightmare Series 1-4, was recently spotted in a Mastercard advert playing Solitaire whilst talking about 'gambling with your money'.
Not sure which company the advert was for...
There may be a contradiction in there.
I can't find this advert online, nor any reference to it outside Knightmare.com, though maybe in time someone else will.

The inner pedant rears his aesthetically displeasing head again: it was M(y)att and I who broke this story, in early July. In fact, when I spoke with Andrew in mid-July, I was the one telling him that Beer + Pizza Club was to feature Knightmare! He later brought news of a different episode recording that featured Knightmare-related banter, but whether it made the final edit is another matter. That episode was the first broadcast, and the Dave Berry/Knightmare episode will be the seventh. (Dave Berry's 'spoilers' were transcribed to the Lexicon under XFM.)
I'd happily see Matt given sole credit for the news, but for Andrew to be the only named information provider doesn't seem right to me.

Quite right. Amended.

The only thing I found a bit odd is how the articles about the various video clips (with screencaps etc) don't include a link to the clip they're talking about. A couple of times I didn't realise the video was actually available to watch until I found them all in that separate section!
Well spotted! Thank you! Part of the problem came down to the order in which everything was migrated from the old site. Attachments were amongst the last, and then linking everything back together afterwards was always going to be slightly hazardous. Leaving important links out, though, was not part of the plan . I'm very glad that you found the Miscellaneous/Other Clips section of your own ingenuity, and I'm cheered by your good spirit in spite of these mishaps. Hopefully, now, all articles that have an accompanying clip offer a link to the right place.
Perhaps it would make better sense to attach clips to their relevant article. To keep the clips together keeps the attachments side of things tidy, but the linking is potentially untidy. I've had to correct an embarrassing number of failed links from page to page between video and articles; I'm all the more grateful for this pointer to discover the problem. To attach clips to their articles makes the attachment side of things a little less tidy, but eliminates the linking issue. From a content point of view, there are benefits of collecting all that media together in the 'Other Clips' page. It is hopefully clear what there is, and when new additions are added.
This thread has formed an interesting fusion between contribution, welcome, and site feedback. But while we're here: any thoughts, good lords and ladies?

Just so you know, the same problem exists with the various CITV clips:
http://www.knightmare.com/media/clips/1301-citv.html
There's an article about Knightmare on CITV under each of the individual series sections, but none of those articles link to the available clips. Like this one for example:
