Wherein we speak of our favourite assistants to the Doctor.
For me, it's got to be the thoroughly decent Harry Sullivan, who joined the 4th Doctor for his first season along with Sarah Jane. Quintessentially british, very self de-preciating, wonderfully archaic use of the vernacular and the greatest sideburns of all time.

Ah, if we're playing the Expanded Universe game, then my other vote would go to Evelyn Smyth.
