Okay, I'm about ready to start formalising Knightmare Challenge and hopefully it'll all be finished within two weeks.

However, there's still one issue I can't make my mind up on. Since it affects how people will play, I thought I'd open it up to all of you and simply go with the majority opinion.

The game was envisioned as being team based. Teams may consist of 1, 2 or 3 members (and up to 1 reserve member).

I will maintain a scoreboard week-to-week with the teams and the number of points they scored. The team with the highest score at the end of the series will win the prize.

But the question is, should teams be formed each week, or should teams be fixed for each season?

If teams are fixed for each season, then you'll be able to create a team any time you want or simply play solo. However, once assigned to a team, you will be unable to change until the "season" has ended. Each team will be allowed one reserve member. So you could have a maximum of 4 team members, but only 3 can play at any one time. The advantage to keeping teams fixed is that teams will develop reputations. Your team won't have to play every week, but the more often you play, the more chance you have of getting a high score. It will also be possible to offer bonuses throughout the week, such as mini games and so on for a few extra points (although this is just an option and may not be taken).

If teams are formed on a week-to-week basis, then team formation will take place on the night of the game and can be changed at will. The advantage to this system is that there is no need for reserve players, so more people may be able to take part. I suppose the disadvantage here is that the game becomes much more individualised. If you're away one week, your usual team mates might draft in someone else and get a high score - thus denying you the prize due to one week's absence.

I will go with the majority opinion, but will evaluate things after the first season.

      Hrmph.

      That wasn't decisive at all.

Teams shall be chosen on a "per season" basis.

They may be formed at any team (including mid season). There is no REQUIREMENT that you participate every week, but obviously it would be to your team's advantage.

I shall review this after the first run.
