    How about 'Knightmites'? Cringes

    How about 'Enter-Strangerers'?

The following have all been used at least twice on this forum: Knightmarians, Knightmarers, KMers, Knightmare fans, KM fans and Knightfans, the name that Tim Child uses. There's also Watchers, which a bloke called Treguard came up with.

I recently thought of: "Knightmares of the Realm".

But that's probably taking it a bit too far.

I quite like Knightfans or Watchers of Illusion.

            I'd be happy with either

For a long time, I've always thought of KM fans and the 'audience' at large simply to be 'Watchers'.

Ended up taking the name way too far as well!

I heard someone use the phrase TregHead not long ago, in reference to the people on Treguard's Myspace friends list.

                  So. Knighties.

                  http://www.knightmare.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=4691&p=47681#p47681:

Hugo Myatt mentioned in an interview somewhere that we were called 'Knighties' - I remember thinking at the time, "We are??!"

                  http://www.knightmare.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=4686&start=15#p47689:

Wait, the Knighties? That's what we're called? ...sure, I'll be a Knighty XD

Every time I hear it, I die a little inside.

But yet, that seems to have become our name.

Not by popular consent! With the greatest respect to Messrs Myatt and Child, it seems like a questionable retcon job to me.

If fans of Knightmare must have a name, Knighters would be a slight improvement. It carries the suggestions of staying up late (which many of us do, for Challenge Late Zone if nothing else) and bestowing honour (which, if our efforts as fans have helped to bring Knightmare back, we've done too).

I think simply 'watchers' as Treguard always refered us as that!

Yes, I think 'Watchers' is best too.

Not going to contradict Treguard, are we?!!

                      I really don't like 'Knighties' >:D

I refer to myself as a Knightmare fan, I do not want to silly 'title'

Being a fan of KM doesn't mean your united with other fans for the show.

If we must have a name then I think Knightmarian has a certain dignity to it (well, everything's relative ).

                              Anything but knighties!

The trouble with "Watchers" is that it referred to the entire audience, and not everyone who watches Knightmare would consider themself a member of the fandom. Like, I watch Doctor Who and Star Trek and enjoy them, but I'm not the sort of hardcore fan that you might call a Whovian or a Trekker/Trekkie. So I'm not sure that "Watchers" (a.k.a. "those who merely watch") is the right term for "these absolutely undefeatable fans who just keep on at it"... though I definitely prefer it to "Knighties".

Of course, what we decide is largely irrelevant; it's whatever the media decides we'll be called that we'll get called!

I know most Who fans hate 'Whovian 😕

I like 'Knightmarians' much better than 'Dungeonistas'!

That being the case, "Watchers of Illusion" is a very specific title, introduced and used exclusively by Treguard, of which only true fans of Knightmare would be familiar. That's both a blessing and a curse; while the title is incredibly apt and suitable to refer to us by us, those who are not fans of Knightmare (but are aware of the series and that we are fans of it) would likely have never heard of the saying or properly understand or remember it.

Pretty much anyone knows that a "Trekkie" or "Trekker" is a fan of Star Trek. Likewise, it's pretty obvious that a "Whovian" is a fan of Doctor Who. That's because the name of the show (in part) is included. Even people who had never heard these phrases before would at least understand what it is they refer to.

"Knighties", for better or worse, is probably the most appropriate. Despite the fact that I absolutely loathe that title, it's probably the best that can really be achieved.

I don't mind so much that "Knighties" sounds like "90's", considering that Knightmare was on the air during that decade it seems like a lucky and bizarrely appropriate coincidence. My problem with "Knighties" lies in the fight is sounds like "nighties", which could be confused for pyjamas.
