Blackpool Meetup Details: 12-14 August 2016

The original dates have changed for this, after several people indicated that the proposed date would not work. We've therefore moved the event.
Dates and Times
In order to make full use of the available time, our plan would be to arrive at 4pm on Friday 12 August and then to leave around 4pm on Sunday 14 August. Of course, if you want to arrive earlier or leave later, then you're welcome to do so. You're also welcome to arrive later or leave early, but be aware that we will be intending to do stuff during those dates/times, so you'll be missing out.
Accommodation
We'll aim to get a block booking in one of the many B&Bs around Blackpool, based on the number of people that indicate they'd like to take part. This will almost certainly necessitate paying in advance. In order to ensure we get a good B&B and to try and ensure we can all stay together, this may have to be a couple of months in advance, but we'll do what we can.
Previous experience suggests the price will be about £30 pppn, including breakfast.
Transport
Blackpool tends to be fairly easy to get to from most of the UK. I suspect that there will also be at least one carpool from London.

Sounds good. Based on comments here, on Facebook, and in person, we have upwards of 12-13 people attending.
I'll give this another week or so before investigating block bookings. Thereafter, people will be on their own for accommodation.

I'll indicate a tentative interest in coming. Is there any way single bedrooms could be booked (I don't want to share a bedroom with a stranger)? (I'd be willing to pay a bit more for this). Could you choose somewhere easy to reach by train please (either Blackpool North or South stations?)

If you need longer, please let me know.
If you don't mark yourself as GOING before this date, then you're still welcome to come, but you'll be on your own for accommodation.

It will be easily reachable by train (most of us arrive by train).
The Facebook page is 'secret', so you won't be able to access it unless an invitee invites you via Facebook.

Hi Joe,
we generally lark about and be silly enjoying each others company and in some case's more than decades worth of friendship. There's almost always a trip to the Pleasure Beach, Wetherspoons, Pizza Hut and or Nandos etc. You can participate in as much or as little group activitiy as you like but the more you put in the more you get out as always.

Okay, hotel booked. All rooms are doubles rather than twins. £55 for the weekend. You'll need to find someone to buddy up with.
