I got the Sky Magazine this morning.

They have Challenge's Christmas Cult Selection as one of the picks of the day for Boxing Day. The description is pretty much what Challenge? have posted:

"Confused celebs and dodgy graphics as Challenge? brings you cult game shows, from The Adventure Game to kids' classic Knightmare, as voted for by viewers. Nostalgia for all."

I hope they're not implying the Knightmare graphics were shoddy. Clodbrains.

Is anyone here going to capture the programs and turn them into MEPGs for those without satellite/cable? Should only be about 300Mb each by my reckoning, for a good high quality MPEG.

Probably someone will, but the quality on sky is so shit anyway 🙂 (due to the compression)

            Good high quality mpeg? :S

Just had info that the documentaries are 2/3 minutes long and will be shown before each Knightmare episode on 23rd and 26th December. I assume that means there are two separate ones.

Oh dear Debz :S  that means that one of them has Hugo and Tim in it, and the other has you and I. Should be fun watching us waffle for that length of time

Confirmation of the schedule for Knightmare repeats on Challenge.

As part of the Christmas Cult Selection:

                      23rd Dec: Series 3, Episode 1

                      26th Dec: Series 3, Episode 2

These will be shown sometime between 2pm-5pm and repeated sometime between 9pm-Midnight. The documentary should also be going out during this period.

Then from 4th Jan 2003, starting from episode 1 again:

Every weekend at 10am, repeated at 5pm

                      Continues throughout January.

You can also now vote for Knightmare in their Christmas Cult Selection Poll. See http://www.challenge.co.uk for more details (theres now a pic of Knightmare on the front page).

It's nice to see the repeats aren't being shoved into a 2AM slot...

I'll look forward to making fun of you both in the documentary.

One slight problem, it might clash with the 15 to 1 and Countdown Grand Finals.  😄

Repeats on Challenge?, special 20th anniversary celebrations on CITV and the chance of a comeback?  What on earth is going on?

No KM for 8 years and all this happens at once.

15 to 1? Countdown? What are they?  ;D

Absolutely. Hopefully the weekened slot will allow a lot of people a chance to watch, and 5pm repeats is pretty nice. It might get some kidsies who are channel-hopping around then tuning in.

If anyone hasn't got the exact times for the 2 episodes over Christmas (they were just under the three hour "Cult Christmas Collection" programme heading before), here they are:

                                1st Episode, 23rd Dec. (today): 2.55pm, repeated 9.55pm

                                2nd Episode, 26th Dec. : 3.30pm, repeated 10.30pm.

While I'm sure some people will watch the Cult Selection in its full glory, that should help the people who only have time to tune in for Knightmare.

Your programme information comes courtesy of my lovely green staff and Sky remote control. If the SkyGuide has it incorrectly, don't blame me.

My plan of action, aka Operation Festus:

                                  1. Watch Knightmare on Challenge?

                                  2. Shortly after, go to their website and tell them how much I loved it and how I'd love to see lots more of it in their schedules.

Warning: this post will self-destruct in 10 seconds.

I haven't watched it yet because I only get the analogue cable service of Challenge?. I'm going to have to set up my VCR (which is much easier said than done) before 9:55 pm today and watch (and record) it then.  ???

Not to worry. Challenge? Have bought for 10 showings of each episode. Although it's a tad confusing as in january they'll've used 4 repeats for the first two episodes and then only 2 for the other ones. hmm. Spoke with the guy at challenge? btw and he highly doubts they would show Knightmare on FTN as he said FTn aren't interested in showing those types of programmes (through challenge on there btw)

Watched it @ 2.55 today, and I must say it is BRILL in stereo, and superb quality of course.

I thought Hugo looked rather well in the documentary, although his ohh nasty was not filled with the Treguard acclaim we are used to.

I also contacted the Challenge? people and expressed my desire to watch MORE series' of Knightmare, and to be honest they really sounded rather positive, they are just looking to see how KM does in the ratings for any possible series after that.

                                          Lets hope they were good!
