I came across a magazine article (print, not currently online) by Sasha Bates, Bill Cashmore's wife, about his death and the complexities of grief, especially at Christmas. Earlier this year her book about this, Languages of Loss, was published. Royalties are going towards funding The Bill Cashmore Award for young dramatists.

You can find out more about the book and the award on Sasha Bates' website.

Bill Cashmore's website was relaunched last year by his comedy partner Andy Powrie.

It's very moving to consider how, although Sasha's life was shattered by Bill's sudden death, she has sought to share her experiences in ways that help others. I read on her website that she was contacted by two people who received organ donations from Bill, which is poignant too.

      Thanks for sharing Drassil.

I've only just come across this, and it's great to see the website relaunched as a tribute to the legacy he left behind.

Having met him in person, I feel that the words of his kind and giving nature on the site are all fully justified too.
