Planning date and time
-
3 days is a good move towards taking the pressure off, happy to take holiday where I can to enable - I'd say aim for early summer for dates.
-
Okay, not a problem.
Possibly a middle ground here would be to do something like 2.5 days with the half day being used to socialise, catch up, and to set up (if possible). People can then come (or not) on the half day as they like. That way, we can get started at the crack of dawn on the first full day.
Soooo...let's think about dates assuming we'll have a Saturday and a Sunday.
We want to do some read throughs of the scripts in advance of filming. Additionally, venues tend to be booked up a bit in advance. I think we want to be looking at 4-6 months from now. That also gives us a couple of weeks to agree on a date. That does, unfortunately, leave us at the height of summer. Previous experiences suggests that we'll be baked, but at least we'll have the light.
So which weekends are people able to make in August, September, or October?

Hi Alan
Sorry for the late reply, I'll take a look at the scripts but not worried about which ones I'm involved in, I'll play any part really.
Currently looking for work so not got any pressure on times or days. September sounds ideal, it should be a bit cooler than last time, other than that I dont mind whether it's 2 or 3 days.
-
Septembers going to be probably easiest to book here with those with families taking less hols than August plus we won't be quite so baked alive again!
-
There's not much in my diary that would get in the way. September would be good! I'd probably recommend early autumn over August on account of the heat making it more difficult to sleep and concentrate for full days.
-
So it's looking like mid-September ish. We just need input from Billy and Ballard?
-
Hmmm, so after talking to Forester, the only date in September that might work is
23rd (social/setup day) to 25th September
But this could be a problem for Librase and we're still waiting to hear from Billy and Chris.
-
Thanks, both.
Billy, I think we can work around your absence in the evenings (depending on when you class as 'evening'). It's just a question of scheduling things carefully. Almost any venue we pick will charge by the hour, so it's better for us to not be going on late.
So we just need input from Chris and we need to wait to hear back from Librase once she's spoken to her people.

In the meantime, if people could please pencil in that weekend, because it's otherwise looking fairly good.

Great!
No specific location, but it's extremely likely to be London given the availability of cheap (ish) spaces there.
