I haven't attended one of these before, so I wondered how it worked - do we get suggestions for what we'll need to bring for character costumes? Or is it just up to us?

It's up to you. However for the dungeon scenes, we're intending to film against green screen, so:

        • Avoid wearing green

        • Avoid anything shiny or metallic, since it will reflect green

        • In general, it's better to avoid colours that are too dark, since it can make it difficult to isolate shadows.

        For advisors:

        • If you're playing multiple advisors, you will usually need a different outfit for each advisor (since each team is supposed to be different). Wigs and accessories (glasses, hats) are very helpful here.

I've gone through all the scripts and looked for props that are needed.

If everyone could please have a look at this and take responsibility for acquiring/bringing these it would be very much appreciated.

I'm a little limited in what I can take with me on the train, but I can try to be useful here:

            Marketplace / Silver arrow

I'll see what I can do out of wire and card/clay painted silver

            Marketplace / Garrotte

This is just thread or wire with handles on the end? I can have a go.

            All change / Sword

How good are you hoping this will be? I might have a crappy foam dagger somewhere.

            All change / Bone

This feels like something that can be made in paper mache or clay. If nothing else, it's not like I'm using my femur for anything.

The winning quest / Paper machee statue

I can have a go at this but I'm not confident in my paper mache skills. Though maybe that's what we're looking for.

            Credit check / Key

Credit check / Pair of glasses

I can provide these but I'll kind of need them back to see/get in my house

Merlot the Magician / Piece of paper

Doodle bug and Family Special / Scroll

Scrolls are just weathered pieces of paper with ribbon tied round them, right? I can try that.

Marketplace / General market crap (bottles, jars, scrolls, etc.)

I have a load of jars saved up but I don't know how suitable they are.

            Marketplace / Monkey paw

If nobody else has a monkey paw handy (if they do: why?), I can attempt to make something out of the crap in my crafting cupboard.

            Credit check / Post-it note

            I have a post-it note addiction.

Marketplace / Small vial of liquid

I probably have some tiny bottles with corks if that'll do.

The winning quest / Other random crap (Toy car, stick of chalk, slinky for instance)

I have so much random crap in my house you have no idea.

            Mockery / Pearl necklace

I don't have a pearl necklace. What I do have, however, is a load of pearls and thread/elastic.

I can't guarantee what I make is good enough but it's something?

              That sounds brilliant.

              Mockery / Pearl necklace

Faux pearl necklaces are about £3.50 on ebay so if you have real pearls, it might be better to just buy a crappy fake ebay one

They were cheap craft store pearls, but now I think of it, I left them in Manchester! Ebay it might have to be.

I may have been a bit adventurous - I can't find the sword and I'm not sure I'm going to get a statue or glass jars there in one piece.

Will try to get what I can together in the next week and send Alan some photos

I can do the ready meal and the cufflinks. Possibly the watch, if I can find one.

I'll bring any other odds and ends that might be useful as fillers.

I see Bex has put down for the sword, but I'll be bringing Trebake's sword from S1, if that works any better.

Wow, everything I was due to is already taken, I can at least get the bucket!

It's plain white and used for collections for charity donations but should suffice.

I did make a prop sword out of clay, but Trebake's is likely to be much better. I'll bring it anyway.

Unfortunately, I lack the skills to make a bicycle, bucket, or Tesco club card. Unless you want a bit of card that looks vaguely like a club card.

I could just bring my own Tesco Clubcard and we could use either paper & tape or CGI to change the name to Randal, or just cover my name with a thumb.

The violin turned up just in time, so I've now got everything.

Carrying a suitcase and a violin case around the streets of Islington, time to start taking bets on how many passers-by think I'm homeless.
