Anway great game not played in years
We never had a chess club, I feel like I've missed out on a valuable part of my education here.
I taught myself to play using one of those computerised chess board things (ooh look at me!)

i was good at chess once, intellect that i am.  i remember trashing pooka at it in manchester  ;D
i was at a house party where i was playing drunken chess as well (it possibly turned into strip chess later and i won about half the games).

The knight/night pun is simple yet effective, so it's no surprise that it should turn up in several unrelated places.
One of the best uses of it I've come across is a joke in which a member of the Round Table needs to make a journey, even though it's dark and stormy outside. He doesn't have access to a horse, only a large dog. But the dog's owner says, "A knight can't go out on a dog like this!"

I would include Lillith as a Queen...but I have no idea which side she'd be on.
You could almost make a third 'grey' team, one composed of neutral characters who pledged allegiance to no-one.
