Grrr!

BTW what is the logo on http://www.pookatimes.fsnet.co.uk/articles/logo.jpg
I only ask because I have seen it before! I just don't know where!?
-
It's supposed to be a mischievous spirit. Shakespeare's "Puck" is derived from the word Pooka. On Knightmare it's a big green scary googly thing.
-
I still think it's a cherry on top of the piecaketart.
And I'm still calling it a Quiche. [stamps foot]
-
How about we call a truce on the pie/cake thing and call it a piecake or a tart?
If the tart solution still causes too much controversy, call it a Quiche! I'm a lot happier since I converted from the anguish of the pie/cake dilemma to the satisfaction of calling it something ever so slightly silly. And it's a good truce, too, since we'd all know that it's probably not really a quiche. Nothing to argue about then.
-
Good fun, though!
I hope this potential new series has an original-style life force clock. They could use the avatar technology to build a clock based on each dungeoneer's own face. This would emphasise that fact that it was their own life force. Apart from that, I never forgave 'em for introducing that walking skeleton!

-
It's definitely a pie.
No cake looks like that. It has a crust! The "cherry" is not round or shiny enough to be a cherry. It's elliptical and looks like a small hole in the middle of the pastry, revealling the content. This makes sense as the inside of the pie is the exact same colour. There are pies with holes in the top, such as this one...

The reason the content is so red is presumably artistic licence. The drab colour of meat probably looked too boring for the show and so they spiced it up with red, which makes it look more medieval as presumably meat was bloodier back then.
Finally, common sense tells you it's a pie. Why would a dark show like Knightmare use a cherry cake to represent energy?
-
Perhaps this could be one of the things to vote on elsewhere in this site. Something like:
Which of the following best describes the life force icon used in Series 8?
-
Pie
-
Cake
-
Tart
-
Quiche (YES YES YES PICK THIS ONE)
-
Delicious
-
Not as good as the life force face
The correct answer, of course, is quiche.
-
-
Oh, I would have voted for "Absolutely friggin' useless" myself ;D
I'd much rather eat the quiche than the skeleton or skull though.
-

Well, why then would a dark show like Knightmare use a pie to represent energy when they had a much "darker" walking figure and much better (and darker, I suppose) face?
"Common sense" tells you they shouldn't use a pie, a cake, a tart, quiche, or any such delectable, be they ne'er so delicious! In case they're thinking about a life force icon for a new KM, I'd also suggest no life force flowers, fairies, dolls, catflaps, shoe-boxes, carrots and suchlike. Perhaps a face that slowly broke away to reveal a cool grinning skull might be a good idea?
I agree with the rest of your thoughts, GrandDizzy. But I challenge you to find but one argument to persuade me it isn't a quiche.

"Give me a life force pie or I sink the boat."
Bitch! Mind you that is a very unflattering photo!!
-
Bitch!
LOL, How rude! Festus, she's being rude to Mummy! Go get her! Din-dins!
-
Aw, I wouldn't let Festus eat you Debz. In any case, he prefers to eat life force quiches (cooked in Mildread's cauldron, of course).
-
Heh heh heh thank you!
But here, have some Rennies for dear old Festus, that quiche looks like it could cause some damage! And what with the state of Mildread's cauldron these days...tut-tut!
He'd need a cast-iron stomach if he was planning to make it through the week!
