The book with Treguard on the cover holding a sword (which was probably Morpheus, not Wyrmslayer) is called The Dragon's Lair, and was published in 1993.

Fortress Of Assassins was one of the books in the earlier Corgi format. You can probably find a copy of it on e-Bay or Amazon if you keep your eyes peeled. It has a drawing of a dryad/tree troll on the cover.

        Treguard got a new sword!

        Was it magic?

        Where did it come from?

In the fourth book Sorcerer's Isle Treguard had to surrender Wyrmslayer to an Arab prince as the price for his freedom. He then gained a new sword from one of his own dreams. It was indeed a magic blade, and he named it Morpheus.

How did he get the Sword out of his dream and into the real world?

                Magic can do anything.

Does Morpheus have special powers or is it just a sword that treguard made real?

Ahem my little moogle friend. As has previously been discussed....OPAL FRUITS SHALL REMAIN FOREVER. DO not acknowledge the starburst, they cannot be allowed to win!!!

As for the Order being real. Yes they were. The term Assassain comes from the actual name of the order which was the Hashashin.

This name derived from how members were recruited. They would be given large amounts of hashish which would cause them to have a vision of Paradise.

They were then told that the only way to get there again was to follow the orders of the errrr... order and to die in service to it.

                    History lesson over. Class dismissed.

I already knew all that because I did a course on the Crusades last year, some people even did essays on it.

My favourite Order, which I did my dissertation on was the Teutonic Knights and the Baltic Crusade.

Actually, I'm not entirely sure where I picked up that information from.

I didn't even take history for GCSE. I tend to pick up little bits of limited knowledge on things.

I don't know virtually anything about the Teutonic Knights. I have a smattering in the Templars though and a very basic knowledge of Tudor Britain.

My main area of history though is Fuedal Japan and China. Yet there was very little of this used in KM.
