Well what can I say guys, I'm humbled by your interest in my team's adventure, and completely speechless. I've never come across a 'Barry Topic' before. Thank you Long View for letting me know, my apologies I don't log in often enough to know anyway. Love to everybody.

Series 7 - Episode 15Yoiu're right James in pretty much every detail. In fact, the production team had summoned another team to Norwich to take over from us if we died - but we didn't die, so they never got to appear on the programme. However, a couple of extra details to add.
Firstly, in fact we DID carry on walking, and didn't realise we should use the return potion. As soon as we got the hammer, we walked out of the room, ready for whatever should come next. Then the director says (off camera, obviously, and in a tone of some exasperation), "exactly where do you think you are going? You've got the hammer - what exactly are you waiting for?" He sighed long and loud, and went to drag up another bit of dungeon for us to walk into. We hung our heads in shame, walked into the next room, and immediately drank the potion.
Second, we had a deal struck with us. It got to the point, I forget where, that they realised we had to be the last team - there wasn't time for another one, even if we died. But unusually for a 'last' team, we still had time to complete our adventure as well. So the deal was this: if we died, we'd get reincarnated, and go on to get the hammer and save the day - but we wouldn't get the shield of justice. But if we didn't die: we'd win the game properly as well. Double whammy. Hence the magical appearance of the shield of justice at the end of the game. Celebrations all round.

Series 7 & 8That reminds me of something else I forgot to mention about Series 7- The shift toward sight potions and such.
I was a bit confused by the whole sight potion stuff. Granted, it was great fun for the dungeoneer to wear a pair of Virtual Reality glasses inside the helmet and to be seeing this sort of little holographic image of the room floating about six inches in front of your forehead. Very weird feeling. But not much fun for the audience, which surely is the whole point? So what if the dungeoneer could see? (He or she couldn't see very well I might add, the usefulness of Virtual Reality glasses cannot really be properly underestimated.) It seemed to me like it was a case of the technical guys really REALLY wanting to find a way to use a new bit of exciting technology, without realising that the audience enjoyment factor involved in using it was pretty much nil.
Sorry, that sounds really bleak looking back at it - the whole thing was a lot of fun, this gripe is a bit undeserved really given everything else that was good about the adventure.
By the way James - I think you should avoid putting up horrendous pictures like the one at the start of this topic, or at least put some sort of government health warning with them. You'll have people boycotting the site if you're not careful ;D

frightknightDerek's my brother actually, Simon and I aren't related - actually, I have no idea where he is these days... Derek's a lot bigger now, bigger than me in fact, and his voice is considerably deeper, unsurprisingly

Best ad lib....Beepy..?
I guess I've had worse. Turns out my name means 'donkey' in Sipedi, not a great asset when you're travelling in South Africa. Sorry, this is way off topic now.

frightknight
Anyone from Worcestershire who recognises any of these girls should get in contact with us straight away. An address would be helpful, so that we can break into their house and nick their trophy. If asked, we'll blame it on a side-effect of the Arken spell...or something.
I used to be from Worcestershire, and recognise all four of them, might even have an address somewhere... but couldn't possibly divulge it or they'd probably never speak to me again. Have also lost my Frightknight, although I suspect it's in an attic somewhere. I think my brother's using his as a hatstand.

Best ad libI'm here, I'm here... someone very kindly sent me the link. The best ad-lib?... I think I said something along the lines of "Wait, there's someone behind me... oh no... it's ok... it's the cameraman." But I think that probably got lost in the edit... Maybe that qualifies as the worst ad-lib?!
