I also have slight doubts on this new version - reality is so much better. I think they should do a similar thing to that A1 video - 'take on me' - using virtual reality to create grpahically adavcned dungeon rooms and obstacles whilst keeping the characters and dungeoneers as they used to be. couple all that with the imcredible originality of KNightmare and you have a hit.

Knightmare VR? I don't like the concept! -
Series 4 - Episode 9They think it's all over:
'Simon, side-step to your left' DONG!!!!!
IT IS NOW!!!!
-
Stained glass room - level 3, series 3would have been the guilotine room, then the place of magic. if you notice, the sequence of rooms in level 3 followed a very similar format to that of series 2. So I don't think it would have been any different here.
-
Favourite quote from Series 3For me - Mogdred's evil laugh - no other baddie does it better.
I also liked Mrs Grimwold's SHURRRRRRUP FESTAS!! and Mcgrew's insult to Mogdred - who you callin' a hairy barbarian you sisified we monk'???
Oh, the present to the goblins - hilarious.

Series 3 - Episode 6The quests of Leo and Martin remind me of the premiership and how referees give an offside goal which ultimately leads robs one team of any points.
In my opinion Leo and Martin were robbed of their glories and I think the dungeon was way too harsh on them. We mustn't forget that level 3 is hard and needs thought - obviously, the stupid gargoyle didn't realise that and decided to put them under pressure, robbing them of some vital information to help them in their quest, totally unfair.
The dragon's question to Martin was also hard, not even some of the graduate cousins of mine could find the answer, and these are only school kids for god's sakes.
Would have been the best series by far had these two not been so harshly robbed of their glory.
The Mogdred spell, hmmmmmmmm, a good point. If Leo's lot got it right, he may have given them a correct spell to use. But if he didn't, mogdred's spell will have probably been the right one.

Knightmare VRCould someone please tell me when we can expect to see this New VR Knightmare. The televirtual pages have been the same for months, with no updates.
-
Celebrity Knightmare ?I think the most hilarious contestants in Knightmare would be the WWE wrestlers. Just imagine Stone Cold Steve Austin getting confronted by fatilla or an Ogre, and instead of running off or moving quickly, he gives them the 'Stone Cold Stunner', or the Rock meeting Motley for a hilarious entertainment saga, such as Motley coming into the scene, the rock asking him 'who are you, and before Motley answers, the Rock goes 'it doesn't matter who you are!!!' How about Mogdead and Kane - Mogdread is about to finish him off, and Kane raises his arms and snaps them down for a FIRE spell.

New Software helps to rekindle Knightmaregreat, can't wait, but how long will we have to wait for it????

most etnse roomPlay your cardsright was absolutely tense, and thrilling. The music was a sensation. The causeways were also tense, as was the dreaded corridoor of blades. Oh, and one more really tense one - who can forget that Medusa from series 2 - which froze dungeoneers if they looked at it too much. Bomb rooms were quite tense, too - the fuse went at speed. And rooms where you would hear troll steps in later series - now that was also intense.
-
Favourite EndSeries 2 was class with the dungeon disintergrating, series 3 was even better and more scary with that big booming trombone. Series 5 was quite good as well, and series 3 was hilarious. I like scary stuff though, and 3 has to be my favourite.

Did Dicken & Co have it too easy?i think series 4 was the easiest of the lot. of the eight teams, 3 got to level 3, 1 won, and the rest at level 2. The first team did well, but all the hard work was for nothing due to their stupidity in using a longer spell against Mogdread. The team after were just too slow for the coridoor in level 3 (hellooooooo, it's a corridoor of blades, like we need to be quick, not just side-stepping as if there's nothing there.) The last team, would have won if they got a bit more of a shorter route, due to the season end.
So, to sum it up, It's harsh to say dicken had it easy, I think they just handled it better than anyone else.
-
Is Series 3 Better?I think series 3 was awesome, it would have been nice to see some winning quests though, I think the dungeoneers that lost just did so, as they made silly mistakes, or were stupid. The best??? Hmmmmmmmmm, I don't know, I think each series was good in it's own way, so it's difficult to pick out.
-
End of seasonsI think end of seasons were fantastic, if the dungeoneer was only midway through the dungeon, such as series 3, for instance, and that bloody good ending with the trombone, and series 5, with the freezing objective. However, for those who were nearly there, they should have shortened the number of rooms down, or provided appropriate short-cuts for retriving objects.
Series 8. however, was too disapointing for an end to a great programme, it should have been more scraier, like for instance, an outside baddie trying to rule the dungeons, and he was so powerful, that Lord Fear and Treaguard had to work together for once to destroy him.
-
the adrenaline rushAreadnie wasn't too intimidating, the dreadnought was a baby's thing.
Causeways were really intensifying, and who can forget the dreaded corridoor of blades? only some dungeoneers survived that.
From earlier series the bomb rooms were farily intense and, perhaps my favourite room, was the dread medusa, now that was intensity and a half as dungeoneers would freeze if they were not careful, and you never knew whether they were being careful or not.
Oh, and of course, the trolls - when you heard those footsteps get louder, it alll got so intensifying and thrilling.
-
Favourite BaddieOh, flippin' heck, Lord Fear was by far my favourite baddy in Knightmare. He's even in my top ten ever best villains. But my best ones have to be Shao Kahn out of Mortal Kombat, and Saruman from The Lord Of The Rings. I'd say Lord Fear was my Third favourite.
-
Anyone ever written a Knightmare play before?Sounds OK. however, I'd rather see Lord Fear still as the main baddie, with Mogdread and Morghana brought back as the two deputy's.
I think a totally brand new version of the life force should be re-worked, still incorporating this heart-beat notion, but perhaps a full human being knight losing his flesh and bones, rather than just a head.
-
Funniest momentsKnightmare is never really funny without Lord Fear is it?? Series eight was the funniest - Gloating about his new technology at the start, the confontation with the winning dungeoneer, where he had to rescue Hordriss and used a Palladin potion to turn into a knight and beat off his fireballs, and, perhaps the best bit, the exchange of insults with....A RED DRAGON!!!
I think Fear is just like the Rock from WWE - powerful, but entertaining.
-
Knightmare's greatest moments.I think Knightmare always had great moments when Lord Fear pulled off his hilarious jokes. For me, the greatest one has to be in the second from last episode in series 8, where was quarrelling with a red dragon of all things, and they were literally exchanging insults. Lord fears imitation of his accent was hilarious, when the Dragon said 'smart arse', and Fear mimiked his accent with:
'There's no need to be nasty, just because you can't follow his lordship's simple instructions'.
Man I miss him.
