Hi there,
erm I think it was my death you first saw, he he.
Hi there,
erm I think it was my death you first saw, he he.
What annoys me is:
wen ppl cant be bothered 2 type ful words and stuf cos this is the only way they no how 2 type and it feels like the forum has been swampt by a load ov 16yrolds or younga hu dont relly care and hav neva herd ov punctooashun (sp?)
LOL
I must say that I personally don't think that this is a major problem, compared with other forums I have seen. The quality of posting is possibly better than a few years ago as members have matured.
I haven't been a member of this forum for that long but it's always come across as very friendly and polite. The more older members don't lack that many english skills as far as I can see, but I can't speak for the newer members as I haven't been on here for a while.
I went to Castle Bodium in Sussex as a sixth former accompanying other kids for their school trip there. It was really beautiful, the castle was surrounded by a moat. From the KM site I remember reading that this castle was also used but don't know which series it was in.
anyways you know when it was your death did they just say "you have been killed by the dreadnaut"(how do you spell it?) or did they reveal it to you in some other way.
Yeah I could hear everything through my ear piece, so I heard the Dreadnort/Dreadnaught's (pre-recorded)voice. When it was over they cut the sound to my microphone so anything I said couldn't be transmitted, well I had just died of course. I remember just before it happened one of my advisors shouted, 'Run Sumayya! Run!' Lol! I wish it'd been that simple!
Like I said, we really did not know that was amber, we just thought it was an ordianry necklace (read my earlier post). I guess we were expecting to find some amber on the way.
When we watched it on TV we saw that the amber necklace had been placed right on top of the scroll (hint, hint). Looking back in hindsight we should have really read the clue properly as it was right infront of us, although, I don't know how much difference it would have made as I think we were just expecting to find it in pure form (as a stone and not as an item of jewelry).
I'm sure there were more than 3 objects altogether...
I can't remember them all, although I'm sure one of the experts on this forum can answer your query.
Yes, I was both team leader and the one in the very attractive helmet:)
Moana lisa and Kieran, thanks for your very kind words!
By the way, I personally blame our demise on cultural ignorance...I mean, how were we supposed to know that was an amber necklace (seriuosly)? You see, we're from an asian background and the only jewellry we wear is GOLD!
So where exactly do you do this role play? I'm intrigued...you'll obviously need a large playing space and do you use props? Sounds quite fun.
It's been nice talking to you all and even more amusing reading your posts. It's really refreshed my memories of KM and wow I'm amazed at the impact that we had on some of you when we appeared some 12 years ago on the show. Thanks for acknowledging that!
But I think I'm too old and boring for you guys so I'll leave you budding dungeoneers and KM experts while I resume my quest back to the realm of the 'real world'. I might pop in every now and then but for now farwell young Knights!
it was your adventure (and your 'death' in particular, sorry) that inspired my name when I stumbled across this forum
Thanks! I'm truly honored! (I think....)
LOL, Couldn't stop creasing up whilst telling Ridolfo a nursery rhyme...
Yes that was soooo embarrassing I can't tell you. He just put me on the spot like that and I had to sing a song for him in order to get a clue.
My mind went completely blank! (I used to like Bryan Adams but I couldn't exactly sing one of his songs!) Even my friends were a bit stunned, then one of them suggested I sing 'Ring a ring a roses' ...Just one of the many cringe worthy scenes of our adventure, but totally hilarious
Welcome to our little corner, Sumaya - hope you enjoy it here. Must be quite nice knowing you're famous, despite it being amongst a very select group
LOL! Yes the idea of it is absolutely bizare! and quite hilarious for me!
btw 'Pickle' was lovely, genuinely a nice guy and quite funny, so was 'Treguard'.
As an old hand at dungeoneering - would you consider taking part in the new series if you were eligable?
hmmm... I'd have to think about that one...
Just one thing...I was a bit astonished when I noticed that most people on this forum are pretty young (teens to early twenties). So how did you guys get into Knightmare? How old were you when it was on? Because it ended in 1994 I guess I was expecting most people here to be in their late twenties early thirties as they'd have grown up with the show...
Thanks for all the pleasant welcomes.

how did it fell getting a limb pulled off you, by the Dreadnort?
Well, hmmm...it was pretty much expected It was our fault for missing a vital clue in Level 2. When you come across a group of objects you can only pick 2, right? Well for some reason beforehand we had all decided that we would take a gem along with something else (good for trading we thought). This made us overlook what the riddle on the scroll was indicating - *amber * (cos the witches only trade with amber). There was an amber necklace there but we didn't even think of taking it The other object we took was correct - a potion - that helped Sidriss (Houdrass's daughter). Well what finally happened was that the witches did not give us the password we needed in order to get past the Dreadnort and I eventually got torn limb from limb Looking back I cringe to think how dumb we were but hey at least we got the chance to be on it, everything else was brill!

I didn't want to mention my name but yeah you're right I was just looking at the web site and found that it was series 6 (1992) I was on and we were Team 2. You can imagine my shock when I saw my picture on the screen :oLOL
Hi all, I'm new to this forum (which I came across thru a search engine). I appeared on Knightmare in 1991/92 (it's been so long now I can't remember!), when I was 14/15 years of age. But I do have really fond memories of the whole experience (from the auditions, to satying up in Norwich 4 a week, filmimg etc and having a load of FUN along the way) and they'll stay with me forever. btw I wouldn't call myself a fanatic fan of the show or anything but I wish they'd bring it back! Anyone else here been on the show...?
