Knightmare VR? I don't like the concept!
-
Hmm, things may change, but from what Tim Child has said here, I'd suggest they do intend the new KM for the younger market. However, the complement to that for the older viewier, TimeGate, seems to have disappeared from mention, and if that's a sign it's not going to happen for whatever reason, perhaps indeed the new KM age-range will change. If, however, the reason TG isn't surfacing is because they can't find a backer to support such a show for us oldies, it's less likely they'd just change the target audience of the new KM to fit it. While the old KM was popular, I don't know how convincing the argument would be that now 20somethings (yes, I know that doesn't fit everyone) who watched the show as children would watch something similar as adults.

Isn't it Timegate that Challenge and Televirtual are supposed to be producing together or something completely different? There hasn't been nothing mentioned since they first mentioned something about it even though they said to stay tuned for more info.
They've indeed not mentioned anything. I don't think it was ever said that it was TimeGate they were collaborating on. Challenge just said they were working with/talking to Televirtual about a project, I really don't remember any name or further details being given.
-
I don't think that Challenge mentioned a name but if I can remember they said it would be a similar sort of thing to Knightmare and Televirtual have only two major projects (correct me if I'm wrong) that they are working on, which is KM VR and Timegate. My guess is that if Challenge are working/talking with Televirtual on one of them, it's going to more then likely be Timegate. That's just a guess and what I believe though!
-
Well, yes, although we don't know for certain Televirtual aren't working on something else. However, if they did have a whole new project in the works, you'd think they'd have announced it in their news section or something, unless it's not yet far enough advanced to be worthy of "news" status, or they and/or Challenge decided to keep it quiet.
Hard to say, really.

Hehe, well even if the new KM age range wasn't right, I would guess if TimeGate happens you could definitely apply for that.
-
I hope so, it would be nice to appear on something, you guys could see my new haircut

LOL, cool. Although that's probably not the best reason to put on your application form.
-
Hehe, yeah. I'd hope it might at least give them a laugh, even if the application did immediately go into the bin!

I think it's correct that the Knightmare audience would now be in their twenties. I asked a 19 yr old today whether he remembered KM and he said he had never heard of it.
Knightmare is needed. Too many kids are growing up without it.
-
Indeed, it does seem to be a case of kids not knowing what they're missing.
I'm not sure about the age ranges. Our population here is surprisingly young, with a lot of people still under 20. I guess it depends on people's memories and such.

You're probably right GG. I also think that it's a certain type of person that likes KM (fanatically, I mean). It's essentially a fantasy show, and arguably the most fantastical show ever made. In fact, it's a small wonder why there isn't a Knightmare section in the local 'Forbidden Planet'.

Well what Skarkill, Motley, Snowwie team would be complete with out a Lord Bob? I would love to be on VR if and when it screens.
I can just imagine snerk
Treguard: Your names please
Dungeoneer: Emilia
Number One: Tom
Number Two Glenn
Number Three: Lord Bob
That'll be cool! Nickname ourselves... Skarkill walks in pretending to be the "Masked Marvel"
He dies in a bad way only three minutes into the quest due to poor guiding
RMR: I can see the "Masked" but what about the "Marvel"
-
The only reason that forbidden planet don't have a KM section is because there is hardly anything to sell! I can't think of anything other than the books (now LOOOOOONG out of print).
To that end, anyone know of somewhere that I might be able to track down 'Fortress of Assasins'? It's the only one of the 7 that I, so far, haven't been able to get. Got a .PDF of it a while back but that just ain't the same...
Preferably somewhere outside of the net, I've been burnt too many times by rogue traders to trust it that far. :-[
