Hugo Myatt on Zig Zag: a scholastic re-appearance...

[Snowcat]

Picture the scene...

3am, college in the morning, can't get to sleep, channel hopping and notice this 'Revise-wise' program going on about Theseus and the Minotaur....

"mmm, that narrator sounds familiar... Can't place 'im"

Get presented with THAT stare! Aaaah Mr Myatt I presume!

Desperately reach for the video to record  a clip for here.

"SH**!!"

Too late....  Any of the trivia buffs out there able to cast some light on this whole, bleary eyed, affair?

[Emii]

If he was in a toga-type thing it is probably the program pinpointed somewhere on the site that HM presented for educational purposes.

If it was made in 1996 then, yes, it's that one with him in a toga.

I don't quite understand this...

From the Olde Knews part of the Knews section on the main site:

23.10.00 -  Hugo Myatt

Back in June 1999, Knightmare Knews reported that Hugo Myatt appeared on a BBC TWO Education programme about ancient Greece. Well, I just happened to turn the TV on this Lunchtime and there he was again! It was repeated today (23rd October at 11.55am) and I can now confirm that the programme was called 'ZIG ZAG'. It was 15 minutes long, and originally made in 1996 which indicates it has probably been repeated many times.

The programme was in two parts. The first was about pottery, and Hugo played the role of 'Stephanos' - a stall holder demonstrating various items. The second part was about the legend 'Theses and the Minotaur', where Hugo narrated the story.

Has anyone else been enjoying the five Zig Zag episodes featuring Hugo Myatt? I love the fact that even after KM ended, he still found himself stuck with an annoying assistant.
