Re:Billy's Picky Website Corrections...and other people's, too!
-
Yes, the goblins first appeared in series 3 and even a hobgoblin made an appearance.
Correction: Olaf is not a new character in Series 3, he is an existing character as he appeared in S2.
-
Has something to do with the website updates not being done yet, as I believe the next edition of the Eye Shield is also due.

Heres another small thing...
http://www.knightmare.com/series/3/l1.htm
"The clue rooms were inhabited by wall monsters Golgarach and Brangwen, replacing Olgarth and Igneous from series 2"
...Arent you forgetting a third wall monster?
-
Another:
Children's ITV main page: "In 1989, Hordriss announced a competition which was to look out for letters in every room, which will eventually form a word connected with fantasy. The word was 'EXCALIBAR'."
One letter out- it was 'EXCALIBUR'. The episode in question was Episode 7, and the letters were shown in reverse order. I know this because that's the episode that was repeated today!
EDIT: Three more:
Series 3 main page: "The word was 'EXCALIBAR'."
See above!
Series 3: Teams page 2: "The word they had to spell out here was 'THE SHIELD'."
It was actually 'SHIELD'.
Series 3: Level 1: "Ariadne's layer from series 1 was adapted in this series to form this room."
Series 2, not Series 1.
Trying to date the S4 clip of Scally intoducing 'another episode of Knightmare' at the moment- if I do, it'll also date Hordriss's appearance. Will edit this post as soon as possible when I've nailed it!

From Julie's quest in series 3 on the teams bit...
"Met Mellisandre again who can't seem to remember that she had met Julie already"
Incorrect she said hello again.
-
Series 8, Teams page 1, Daniel's quest, Level 3:
They must now be Linghorn Castle
This must now be... or They must now be in...
the mighty Bal-Shebah
Dinosaur Name... okay, just kidding... Bhal-Shebah.
They go in to the chopper...
They go into the chopper... or They go in, to the chopper...

Series 4 team 5 were from Wymondham (correct spelling) and not Wyndom, which is how it's pronounced. Funny how some places are spelt, but then again some of the english language is funny anyway. As people have said english is one of the hardest languages to learn, but yet I think the widest spoken language in the world.
-
On the series 5 page Oakley is placed under the list of new characters, yet he should be in the existing characters section as he definately appeared in series 4.

More:
CITV 1990: "Clip available in 'CITV Clips' of Scally introducing another episode of Knightmare"
Series 4 Episode 7. Scally mentions the 'team from St Albans' (team 3) which appear at the beginning of Episodes 6 and 7. He also says Hordriss will be appearing as a special guest on Monday...this was in relation to Episode 8's letters competition, ruling out Episode 6 and making this Episode 7.
Knightmare on Childrens ITV clips page: "Scally introducing another episode of Knightmare"
See above.
CITV Main Page: "Hordriss came in to CITV on a Monday to announce a competition, to win an Atari Lynx game, and Gundrada appeared on the Friday to announce the results of the competition"
Now we know the date of the Scally clip, I can date the Monday to the 22nd of October.
Childrens ITV page: "(I'm not sure if the prize was Knightmare related)."
It wasn't, it was an Atari Lynx game...that's what it says a few words back, anyway.

Hmm... Seems to me that the answer to question 2 on the faq page is slightly out of date with
Challenge? showed Knightmare Series 3 from Christmas 2002 and Series 4 from June 2003. Series 5 was shown from October 2003. They have now bought the rights for Series 6, 7 & 8 and commenced showing Series 6 in April 2004. Keep an eye on the Knews page for announcements.
In November 2002, Televirtual (the same people behind the original series) announced that they intend to re-format Knightmare has a live children's TV show. This is not a guarantee of a new series but the chances are now much more likely. The latest developments on this can be found on the Knightmare VR Knews page.
What with Challenge having shown both series 1 and 2 and with the pilot of KMVR having been made. Just a thought.

Not a correction, more a suggestion but I'll put it here anyway...
There is so much good stuff on the main site that it is quite difficult to find some of it.
My suggestion would be a complete A to Z contents guide, don't won't be be a hassle but it would be easier for us to find our way about.
-
Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes it has evolved to quite a large site, and some time ago I re-organised the sections to make it more logical and easier to find things. I'm not sure that it is difficult to find things as such, but may take a while if looking for something specific. I've also linked some of the best sections of the site on the front page as I thought all this good stuff was hidden away.
The site search function should be quite effective (powered by Google) if you can't find things.
The FAQ may need updating. Will try and do all these corrections this weekend.
