The Foreign Knightmare Formats
-
Wow - I've got two stars! I can now enter level 1! Where all the crap teams died!
-
Naaa! I got four! ;D
Ahem! I agree it would be very good to see some clips or an episode or two of the foreign ones - as long as they have subtitles!
So: series 1 can fit onto one disc. A bonus disc can have:
The two pilots
The Chromakey experiment
Interviews
Deleted scenes
...plus some foreign-format episodes.
I must say that it would be a HUGE draw for us fans to have all that.

Mr. and Mrs. By-Spikes must be very proud.

I'm sure you can empathise, eh, GG?!

"Would you like fries with that?"
-
Can you imagine a German version? That would be great:
"Ja, im Seriesen Vier hat der Advisor das Simon "Sidestrafen links" geguidet, und der Dungeoneer hat plummeten den Tackelblöck hinunter. Was für ein Prat."
-
Does anybody know exactly how popular the foreign versions of Knightmare were in the countries they were shown in? How many series did they run for?
-
I don't think they were very popular judging by how long they lasted. I think there was only one series of the french and spanish versions.
I have more info about both shows and will put more info on the site eventually. There is already some info about the french version at http://www.knightmare.v-2-1.net/reviews/labyrinthe/

Naja hier im fernsehserie vier hab' wir sehen der muschi Simon noch links von seiteschripp in der loch hirunter bei Block-tackle! Och - und so dumm bist, der Advisors plappst viel zu viel..."
Though I doubt the language would be that coarse lol...
-
Translation please - I don't speak German - everyone else on this forum seems to do - including a man who's supposedly a fan of chinese culture.
-
That wasn't real German - more just cod-German. I did learn the language for four years, with the result that I can read and understand it (well, most of it) but I find it difficult to actually form sentences or speak it for myself.
As far as Chinese goes, the only thing I can say in that language is "I am having a heart attack" ("Wo jue-de bu shu-fu" is the rough pronunciation). I can also write one word of Japanese, but I'm not sure what it means so that's a bit dodgy.

(in David Attenborough voice) "And so, here in series four, we see the c**t Simon just sidestep down into the hole on his left in the Block and Tackle. Oh, and so stupid it was too - plus the advisors talk too much..."
-
Ct? Whatever next? Ck?
PS Original email should have said episode and not series. You'd have to be a pretty keen KM fan to watch a whole series if you didn't understand the language. French I'm fine with but German - wo wo wo, can't do that.
